We booked this room using trip adviser reviews, however we had reservations about the area and had considered cancelling. I am so thrilled we stayed with our original plans. The rooms are smaller than American hotels rooms but are generous enough for two in a typical room. We had one that looked out into the courtyard, and while I know the hotel was fairly full it sounded like we had the floor to ourselves all night. Marvelous sleep. There is indeed an elevator and free high speed internet, and the breakfasts....my husband is still talking about them six months later! A terrific assortment of food! Hot and cold, fresh fruit and lattes...we loved it! We did not eat in the separate bar/dinning area in the evening as there are so many restaurants up and down the street. The hotels air conditioning and heating worked great, we ended up needing both as some of the time it was unseasonably cold in Rome. A few doors down from the hotel on the same street is a fabulous gelato shop , a terrific men's clothes store with a very nice tailor and several other places definitely worth poking your head into! The area around the hotel is very safe and is withing easy(We are both on the other side of 50 yrs old and had no problem) walking distance to the Colosseum and the train station. The price for the hotel was very reasonable and if you factor in the breakfast savings very very good. We aren't very demanding guests but the staff that we did run into were all very nice and so helpful! The bathrooms are worth noting too...very nice...the shower had very strong water flow which I love.

This is a good tourist hotel - we found the room we had of good size, clean, air-conditioned and up to usual tourist-class standard. The public spaces are OK, and the breakfasts also good. We ate here one night, but must say the food and atmosphere were pretty underwhelming - use the restaurant only if you are too tired to wander out. The hotel is only about 15 minutes walk from the Colosseum, but not in the prettiest area - to say the least. There are, however, a couple of good restaurants on the same road.

First thing I noticed when my husband and I got in the room we noticed that the room is very small for bed.We barely, placed all our luggages around the available space. No safe available in the room.Room and bathroom is clean but may I suggest that they should place ceiling fans in the rooms, especially for guests who used to have fans in the rooms.Good location, nearby small stores where we buy water, gelato, pizza, etc.I noticed food in Europe are all the same, croissant,French bread, butter & marmalade.Everywhere we went, same old menu for breakfast..We had beef bourgginon and potato for dinner, not bad.

Dear Rosalin S,
Many thanks for your review and for your kind suggestions.
However, please allow us to explain that, the reason why there are no ceiling fans in the room, is because, during hot periods, the air conditioning sistem provides the right comfortable temperature to our guests to enjoy.
We are looking forward to another chance to serve you, in the meantime please accept our
Best regards.

I was a bit worried when going to Rome for the first time in my life. You hear so many things about low service quality and miserable stays in big cities.
This hotel was recommended by one of my collagues and it proved to be an excellent choice. Termini Station is very close by the underground and you can reach all major sight very easily.
The room was nice and clean, the bathroom was really nice renovated and designed.
Breakfast was a great choice and the staff was very friendly whenever we had a question with my friends.
I would definately book them again when going to Rome!

Wasn' t sure initially about the hotel when my hubby booked it. We were only going to Rome for a short break with kids (aged 18 & 12) for 3 nights 4 days. The hotel location was really good. It was about 10-15 mins walk from the Coleseum. As soon as you stepped outside of the hotel the Metro Manzoni was just there which was bliss as we didn't have to walk for miles for the metro!! The other sites were also not too far from the hotel as they a short train ride away.
The staff were very friendly. They made sure our 2 rooms were next to each other. The room sizes were pretty good and bathroom was clean. Breakfast was Ok..... selection of breads, pastries, rolls, fruits, yogurts, cheeses and scrambled eggs and sausages. I would not recommend the dinner at the hotel as there is minimal choice and is not very tasty.
There are a few little shops outside the hotel where you can buy water etc, but if you walk up Viale Manzoni you will find a supermarket there. Also if you take a second left from that road there is a lovely Gelatario called Fassi. It's definitely worth a trip if you have a sweet tooth. Also if you are quite peckish, there is a great pizzeria down the road from the hotel called 'il tempio di minerva' on Viale Manzoni. They are very friendly and the food is superb. If travelling to Rome I would very much consider re-visiting this area.

Our visit April 2nd to April 7th 2013.We booked bed and breakfast.
We booked this hotel Direct by Email in September 2012. We requested a Triple room (2 Adults, and our 12 year old Granddaughter). We also requested the hotel to book a Taxi from the airport to the hotel.
We had no problems on our arrival, the Taxi driver was waiting for us with a NAME board. Excellent service by the hotel.
The reception staff were extremely helpful from our arrival until our departure. Excellent service.
Our room (Triple) was superb, and the housemaid service was excellent.
The Breakfast was more than adequate, very well presented and more than we expected, not only variety but cleanliness and staff friendliness.
The Hotel as others have written, is ideally situated for the sites of Rome. Metro literally just outside the hotel door, tram and bus stops all within a few yards of the hotel..

If travelling to Rome, we truly recommend this hotel, not only for location, but for the service and everything else that makes a holiday enjoyable.

Also may we add, a free safe is available, a deposit is required but refunded on departure. Free tea and coffee making facilities are also available-just ask reception, and a fridge is also in the room. As we said, this hotel is ideal in every respect.

Room Tip: We chose a non smoking room. Also triple room, we were not disappointed.

If you want to be able to enjoy Rome in the true sense of the term then this has to be one of the best hotels possible in terms of location. A train station is right next to the hotel and the Colosseum is is a 10 min walk away. Do make sure you take a city tour, the buses for which are conveniently located near the colosseum, The rooms were kind of small, but comfortable. Do ask for a larger size room if you can. A drawback was the lack of soundproofing, to the extent that I could hear almost everything going on next door, especially when our neighbours felt like taking a trip to the loo!
The breakfast was reasonable as was the overall service. If you are planning a short business trip then i would highly recommend this place.
