“A Real Gem”
Reviewed August 21, 2005

Stayed for 3 nights in Hotel Cesari in June 2004. The location was great as all the reviews say but it was so much more. The rooms with their high ceilings were spacious as were the bathrooms. There was little outside noise. Wonderful outdoor cafes and restaurants were just around the corner. We ate at one the first night and every day the rest of our trip we would pass through the alley and the waiters would say "Ciao Megan!" to my 8 year old daughter! All the staff at the hotel were wonderful and friendly. Everything within walking distance or around the corner to a bus stop. We rode the local bus to Vatican City and encountered no problems. I would definitely stay here again.

Traveled to Italy with my husband and teenage son and spent the first three nights and last night of our trip at the Cesari. What a great way to start and end our Italian vacation! We loved our corner room overlooking the Piazza and my son loved being near the fun crowds at Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. We walked everywhere from this great location , except to the Vatican. We'll plan to stay at the Cesari again on our next visit to Rome!

Hotel was very clean, staff were friendly, and location was excellent. We had a problem in that our room was noisy even with shutters and windows closed. There was an alley below our window with many, many motorcycles parked there. Also, our mattresses were as hard as rocks. Asked to change rooms but no others were available. Instead we decided to change hotels, so we could get some sleep. I would consider staying here in the future, but would request a quiet room. It really is a charming hotel if we could have resolved the problem.

Location, location, location! This hotel is about as central as you can get to all the various sites in Rome.

Accomodations are nice. Room was very clean and the staff was very helpful. We found the room a little warmer than we would have liked, but that's Rome in the summer! We bought a little table fan and were fine for the trip. Overall, a very nice little hotel.

We stayed at the Cesari for four nights the end of June. As the other reviewers have said, the location of the hotel was perfect, so close to so many things. We walked nearly everywhere! The staff at the hotel was very helpful and they helped me find a particular soccer jersey for my son. The only drawback was that it was VERY hot in Rome during our stay and the A/C, although it did seem to be working, had a hard time keeping the room cool, even with the shutters closed to the sun all day. However, this would NOT keep me from going back to this hotel the next time we are in Rome. Free internet access was a major plus. Our room was huge by European standards and the bathroom was very nice. Noise was not really a problem, as our room faced the side street.

The location of the Hotel Cesari is great for seeing all the sights in Rome. We walked everywhere. There are plenty of good restaurants located near the hotel. The staff at the front desk were always cordial and helpful. In fact, I had left my visor in the lobby one night and the gentleman at the front desk had remembered that it was mine and returned it to me in the morning. Our room was very spacious and a good sized bathroom. We highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

My wife and I stayed in the Albergo Cesari for 4 nights in late May '05. The hotel was conveniently located (5 minutes to Trevi Fountain, 15 minutes to the Colleseum/Roman Forum) and very clean. Breakfast and service were both ok - nothing special, but no complaints. Would definately stay there again based on the price and excellent location.

Also, highly recommend Stefano Constaniti as a driver to set up for the trip from the airport (see the Rome forum discussions on trip advisor for his contact info). Very nice guy with affordable service (42 euro).
