Perhaps the best part of this hotel is the rooftop breakfast area. Food was nice selection and it was a great place to meet up with friends and share wine, meat and cheese after a day touring. Location was pretty good unless you wanted to get to the Spanish steps. Staff was helpful but they steer you to pretty lousy restaurants. Price was reasonable.

Dear Skidog,
Thank you for your review on TA, where highlight our merit such as the location, the rooftop, the rich buffet breakfast, and our helpful Staff.
Our rooftop named “La terrazza del Cesàri” is one of the most beautiful place in Rome (photos in the official website). In the morning the good and natural buffet breakfast is served and in the evening it is possible to sip a glass of wine or cocktails.
We are located in the historical centre of Rome, near the Temple of the Emperor Hadrian and in a little walking distance from the Pantheon and Trevi fountain. To reach Spanish steps you need only 10/15 minutes walking.
Our English speaking Staff is very helpful and knows very well Rome and its particular places/restaurants suitable for all tastes. Probably, you would have to specify what you are looking for…

We stayed at the Albergo Cesari in August 2013 for 4 nights, and we would recommend it to anyone. This wonderful Oasis in Rome was centrally located, with short walking distance to many of Rome’s top sights: Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Ancient Rome, and Victor Emanuel. We were welcomed by Bernard and Jan who could not of been more courteous, helpful, and gracious. The room was clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and spacious. The most wonderful part of the Hotel is the roof top restaurant lounge, which provides a magnificent breakfast to start your day. Also a great place to relax and sip a glass of Wine at the end of your day with view the city from above. Internet service was good , and restaurant recommendations were on the mark.
All in all we had a great stay at the Albergo Cesari and are looking forward to going back .

Dear Paul W,
We wish to thank for your nice review on TA, so accurate in its simplicity.
Your review underlines our good position, just in the historical centre of Rome, in a little pedestrian street, not far away from the most important places, such as the ones you mentioned; our professional Staff, who aims to satisfy all Guests’ desires, as Berardo and Jan did; our comfortable rooms, standard or classic, all with private bathroom with hairdryer, bath and/or shower, courtesy kit and all with soundproof windows, air conditioning, minibar, safe, satellite TV, direct dial phone and Wi-Fi free.
A particular mention is for our rooftop, where have a delicious and rich buffet breakfast and relax in the evening, with a good glass of wine or a cocktail.
Near of us, restaurants, trattorie, cafés, gelaterie and all you would like to taste!
We thank again for your review and the Staff and I waiting for your next stay with us: book directly on our official website, with one of our great special offer.

We stayed for Valentines and had a great experience at the Albergo. It was my second visit to the hotel and the staff commented on that which made us feel very welcome. The room was really lovely, comfortable and with all the usual and plenty of toiletries etc even robes / slippers which i didn't expect but were a lovely bonus. We breakfasted on the roof top terrace and really enjoyed that, the food was lovely , typical continental and plenty of it to go round, We were nicely set up for the day. The hotel is situated very close to the Pantheon down a side street of Via del Corso so we were a stones throw from many cafes, bistros, pizzerias etc. We walked everywhere and the only time we taxied was to the airport which the hotel organised for us at a much cheaper price than what we paid from Campiano ourselves on arrival. I loved Rome and would go back in a heart beat, i wouldnt dream of staying anywhere else and look forward to it.

Room Tip: We stayed on the third floor in room 29 which was very spacious and had a huge bathroom. Street can...

Dear Rose m,
Thanks a lot for your great review on TA: we feel how you enjoy at our hotel during your Valentine stay!
Our English speaking Staff rarely forget our Guests and they love to satisfy Clients’ desires, always with a smile and competence.
Photos in our official website show our standard and classic rooms, all with private bathroom with hairdryer and courtesy kit. In the bathroom of the classic room you can find scales and slippers bathrobe, too.
Our rich and delicious buffet breakfast is served in the rooftop: coffee and cappuccino, local cheeses and cold cuts, corn flakes and pastries, not to mention fruit and juices for those who are watching their weight; as well as cakes from famous pastry shops. In the evening the rooftop tourn in a lounge bar with its cocktails and glass of wine.
And, as you wrote, after a good breakfast it is possible to reach by foot a lot of great places near of us: Pantheon, Navona Square, Spanish Steps, Trevi fountain and so on. But if you are still hungry, all around of us there are many cafes, bistros, pizzerias etc. If you like to walk it is possible to reach the most important places without using public transport.
We wait for your next stay with us!

This hotel truly added to our wonderful Rome experience! Tucked away on a strictly pedestrian cobble stone street (on the corner of Piazza Pietra), this eclectically decorated hotel boasts attention to detail (they treated us to chocolates on Valentines Day and provided robes and slippers) and have an awesome rooftop bar/sitting area (recently renovated in a metro chic trendy design). Rooms are definitely dated, as are the fabrics and furnishings. However, these are quickly forgotten when you enjoy the quality complimentary breakfast and pleasant and helpful staff. My favorite was the windows that open to overlook the Piazza and allow a morning breeze to enter the room (windows also truly block out noise when closed, which is a selling point when the streets get loud at night or during a mid day nap).

Dear MrsLivesToTravel,
We would like to thank for writing a so kind review on TA, as soon as go back home.
We are very happy you enjoy your stay at our hotel, located in the historical centre of Rome, near the Temple of the Emperor Hadrian, 5 minutes walking distance from the Pantheon and – opposite – the Trevi fountain.
As it is possible to see in our new official website, the Albergo Cesàri has the oldest hotel licence in Rome, dated 1787. The hotel is a superior 3 stars hotel, with its 48 rooms, including 10 classic rooms, all furnished and equipped with every comfort, such as the soundproof windows you loved so much, that avoid street noise.
A different style - as you called metro chic trendy design - are choosen for “la Terrazza del Cesàri”, our great rooftop well know all over the world for the rich and delicious buffet breakfast in the morning and the glass of wine or cocktail in the evening, under the blue sky.
During the Valentine’s Day we loved to offer a little present to all our special Guests! However, our professional Staff, well selected for skills and knowledge, are always friendly and attentive for all Guests needs.
We wait very soon. Cordially,
Mrs Cinzia Farias

Quirky hotel in a fantastic location between the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. Staff were all lovely and very friendly. Emanuele on the front desk even lent me his phone charger when I realised I'd forgotten mine. Room was a good size and bathroom adaquate for our needs if a bit tired looking. A good shower with plenty of hot water, just what we needed after walking around Rome in the pouring rain. Breakfast was really good with plenty of choice. Breakfast staff attentive and welcoming. The roof top bar served excellent wine at a reasonable price. Would recommend and would love to return.

Dear Andrea B,
We are very pleased to thank for your kind review.
As you wrote, the Albergo Cesàri is hosted in an historical palace dated XVI century located in the Centre of Rome, not far away from the Spanish Steps, Venice Square - with the National Monument to Victor Emmanuel II , that holds the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier -, Piazza Navona and Campo de’ fiori one of the most important square in the past.
The Staff is very helpful and friendly and our multilingual Chef Consierge Emanuele is an exemple!
What can say about our rooms? They are recently renovated, but the high frequency of people caused some problems, that it is our intention to solve as soon as possible. However, the important thing is that they are comfortable, clean and with a “good shower with hot water!”
Every morning from 7.00am to 10.30am the roof top welcome you with its rich buffet breakfast: cappuccino, coffee, tea, fruit juice, yogurt, two different type of homemade cakes, biscuits, brioches, 3 different type of cheeses, parmigiano, hams, eggs, 3 different type of bread, pizza, fresh fruit, salad fruit and in the evening for a relaxing drink.
We wait in our official website for your next stay with us.

Mrs Cinzia Farias
