“Fantastic!”
Reviewed April 6, 2014

We stayed at the St Regis at the end of March. It is a beautiful hotel, very welcoming and worthy of its star status. On arrival, we were upgraded to an Imperial Room. The room was beautiful and overlooked an internal courtyard, so very quiet. (Room 214)
The staff are lovely, very friendly and attentive. They make you feel special and it feels genuine.
I would highly recommend the hotel.

Just spent five nights at the hotel and it is one of the best St. Regis hotels we have stayed at.

From the greeting at reception to personalized escort to the room to little surprises throughout the stay.... This hotel knows service and not the generic experience but truly understanding guest expectations and creating an experience.

If you are SPG Platinum the upgrades to suites are amazing and the breakfast buffet is terrific.

Will definitely be back!!

Fantastic hotel, the service is excellent, the room I had was great, very spacious which is very unusual in the centre of Rome, I have been to other hotels in the area and the rooms are very small for the same price you pay at this hotel. Lot of attention to details as expected in a hotel of this category, the concierge very polite and helpful as well as the reception, overall I had a great stay and looking forward to come back when I return to Rome.

Stayed from March 16 till 20, 2014.
First impression wasn't great during the check-in, it was a rush and before I knew, she sent me away before I could inform about breakfast. Not that it was an issue to find it as the smell was all over the place but to know the opening hours would be better!
The concierge gave me a much better feeling, he provide me a map with all the information I needed and more.

The room was excellent with a very comfortable bed, fresh fruit, 2 flatscreens and a very clean bathroom. It was in the back, no view but also no noise. A colleague who had a room at the street complained about the traffic noise.

Breakfast was wonderful, a lot of choices and great service.
We had lunch in buffet and a la carte, both were delicious.

The location is perfect, in walking distance of many attractions. Taxis are always available next to the hotel.
In general, most of the hotel staff were extremely friendly. For everything they want to charge you extra but I think it's everywhere in Rome. Although for such expensive room rates, the internet should be included and not only in the lobby which I found out later as I also was not informed about that.

5 rating since in general it was excellent!

Dear Guest,
We are grateful for your positive comments and even more so for your constructive criticism. The check-in process should always be efficient and warm and we are truly sorry if we have not been able to make you feel as welcomed as you would have expected and certainly deserved. On the other hand, we thank you for your positive comments about our staff, location and breakfast experience and please be assured that we will keep your feedback about free internet into consideration for the future. We look forward to showing you the result of our commitment to service excellence on your next visit to the Eternal City.

It is difficult to imagine this hotel receiving a bad review. I have stayed in the best in the world and honestly speaking this was one of the best. Having my family with me we took two rooms next to each other and it was a great experience. If you are in Rome then you would be hard pressed to find a better hotel !

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Their customer service is top notch. The concierge was always happy to help with dining choices, tourist options, etc. The room was beautiful and the bed was amazing. Their location was pretty close to everything.

I stayed at this hotel in 2012, and again in 2014. That speaks volumes. The location of this property is fantastic. It is close enough to all of the must see attractions, yet far enough away that it isn't buzzing with activity. Also, it is just steps from the subway. There is also a taxi stand just outside the door. Restaurants in the area are plentiful.

The interior is absolutely beautiful! You get the feeling you are at a special address. The decor is old world yet the hotel itself is quite modern. Rooms are large by European standards and are very clean. The beds are ultra comfortable which Starwood properties are known for. The linens are luxurious and soft. Housekeeping always provides plenty of towels, soaps, body wash, shampoo, etc. If you like fresh air the windows in the rooms open just a bit (there is a lock on them to keep them from opening all of the way). There are safes and refrigerators in the rooms. Wi fi is available in rooms for a $15 (euro) daily fee. There is free Wi fi in the lobby.

The staff is great. I called for ice and it arrived so quickly I thought they must have been waiting for my call! I arrived at this hotel at 9am and was able to check into my room by 10am which was really appreciated. Every morning I ate breakfast at the restaurant and the staff always remembered me. The breakfast buffet is 42 euro per day. There is a chief to cook eggs or omelets to your specifications. There is also Moet champagne available for mimosas, and just about any breakfast food you could imagine.

If you are going to go to Rome, do yourself a favor and stay at this hotel, I realize it may be a bit more expensive than some other hotels, but it is well worth it. When I return to Rome I will definitely be staying here again....no question about it.

Gentile Ospite,
We are enchanted by your detailed feedback and grateful for your loyalty. We will roll out the red carpet for your third stay, so please let the Executive office know whenever you have a new date in mind! Also allow us to suggest you to take advantage of one of the many tailored packages, that includes breakfast in the rate. We certainly agree that there is no better way to start a new day in the Eternal city than enjoying a St. Regis luxurious breakfast.
