We walked around the place and thought the public spaces, gym, and spa looked lovely. The restaurant served a fabulous buffet breakfast (omelette man, large variety of fruits, ham, juices, cheese, bread, even an attempt at congee). While we have been told before that we've been upgraded, we usually don't believe it once we're in the room, but because of Amex and Starwood promotions, we really were. Check out the photos. Our room was large, grand, and quiet. It was very comfortable and well stocked. Prior to our arrival, I was in constant contact with the concierge department booking Galleria Bourghese and various restaurants. Overall, they did a great job (very little lost in translation). The bar is small, attractive, very quiet and turns out good cocktails. On the night we stopped in for a couple of drinks, there was one other person there. Unfortunately, he was totally plastered and a real nuisance.
