Although this hotel is not in the popular centro storico area, it is conveniently located near the entrance of a metro. The coliseum and the palatine, forum are easy walking distance. We even walked sometimes to the Spanish steps, Pantheon and then took the metro on our way back.

The breakfast was excellent. It gets you ready for a full day of sightseeing. The staff are very helpful and the management works hard to keep up the their standards of customer service. I have been to many expensive hotels for business travel - but the staff of this hotel are outstanding.

My wife and i spent our 26th wedding anniversary there and we enjoyed it immensely,
all the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant was superb, the location was just right for us as the metro station is just outside the front door, when we go back to Rome we will be heading for the Napoleon.

We stayed here for 4 nights in August having booked via the website direct. We were met at the airport by a taxi arranged by the hotel and our room was ready on arrival there at 11 am. The staff were all friendly and extremely helpful and the atmosphere was relaxed and child friendly. We ate in the bar and in the main restaurant and both were excellent.
On the Friday the hotel held a "talking and tasting" which was basically a free get together with wine and light food where we were encouraged to mix with other guests and also spoke to members of the hotel staff and management.
Breakfast was excellent and catered for all tastes.

My family and the grandfather spent here a long weekend in July and I had actually found the place through tripadvisor. We had some problem at the check-in, since we had booked two rooms, a suite and a twin, and insisted ,that since they did not have connecting rooms, they are at least in the same floor and as close as possible. They said there was some problem and that the rooms are in the different floors, and that should not be a problem. Well, I´m the one running stairs up and down for the needs of a youngster and a grandfather, so I clearly stated that for me it is a problem and showed them an email, where they have confirmed me same floor rooms. But without any larger hassle, they upgraded the other room and we were able to stay in the same floor, problem solved! The rooms were OK, except with no view (looking the inner yard), but after all we did came here to visit Rome, not to stay in the hotel. And overall , the price-quality ratio is quite at the point. We really enjoyed the metro station right at the front: no hassle for looking a taxi for 5 persons, but fast and easy and cheap (plus for children exiting) transportation to everywhere. Once we took the tourist bus from vatican area just for fun, and got out at Termini, and five minutes later, we were back at the hotel. And anyway, it was 10-15 minutes (14 euro) taxiride to most of the nice dinner places, and a taxi for five was called by the hotel. One morning I walked with the children to Colosseum for an Ice cream, and it took us 15 minutes, so I was quite surprised how close to everything we actually were. Everybody here mentions the breakfast, which I personnally did not found anything spectular, I guess because of the bread, but the plus was that there were vegetables for my morning sandwich. We found the hotel having its own flaire, typical italian, with friendly personnel and good location for our needs. Even though I usually like somewhat more luxury, we were very happy with this place, and I could consider it again.

My husband and I spent 4 nights here in June and we found this to be a very nice hotel and a great value. Our room was a decent size but with no view and the lounge was huge and inviting. The staff were very nice and friendly. We both would recommend it, and would definitely return.

The reason why I give this 4 stars and not 5 is location. The hotel is very near to Termini which is great if you are traveling by train, but in general is not an area with much to wander around and see. It just isn't a really nice part of Rome, that would make you want to walk out and wander around. And, there are very few quality restaurants nearby.

That said, the hotel is literally in front of a metro stop. So it is a good base to see Rome because the metro is very convenient, and it is air conditioned which can be a relief from the brutal heat.

One last thing...don't take the packages from the front desk, like the 30 or 40 euro vatican papal audience tour. You can get tickets to this for free from the church Santa Susana, and the metro is very quick and cheaper. Packages like that are a waste of money. But, do let the front desk reserve things for free, like the Villa Borghese. That was really helpful!

I stayed in this hotel for three nights in Mid August with my wife and parents in law. I have to say that the quality of the welcome and the service we received during our stay was better than anything I have ever experienced in many years of travelling. We had requested dinner upon our arrival and despite the fact that we did not arrive until 10.15 pm the restraurant and kitchen facilitated an excellent and relaxed meal despite the fact that clearly they had stayed open just for us. Amin the waiter was very professional and to top it all off they provided us with Comp "spakling wine" as a gift for my in laws anniversary.
The reception area is nothing special but on the first floor there is a comfortable and relaxing lounge and bar area.
On the Friday night the owner treated all the guests to an informal wine and cheese reception and made a point of talking to all the guests and it was a pleasant and appreciated gesture.
All the staff we met were effecient and friendly - Sarah and Amin being the most worthy of mention.
The hotel organised taxis for us upon arrival at the airport and going to the airport. They arrived as arranged.
The bedrooms were comfortable quiet with good air con which was important in high 30's heat.
The hotel is beside a metro station that takes you to the spanish steps or st Peters and the Colleseum is a 15/20 minute walk. The immeadiate area is quiet but we walked to colleseum area for dinner/drinks on the other evenings. In summary if you are mid budget and want something comfortable but more friendly than the large chain type hotels I could not recommend this hotel highly enough

This hotle was beautiful. The room was spacious with gorgeous furniture. Staff were super friendly and helpful, ready for a conversation and to get you whatever was needed. Really helpful in letting us know where to go and how to get there. Rooms were clean, amenities were great. Good location, close to the termini station, easy to get around.
