This hotel is a good value option in Rome, its not luxorious but in a very good location. Ideal for a long weekend stay to visit Rome's main attractions. The minus is the staff, who while attentive, they are not very knowledgeable about Rome (ie they said the Colisseum last entry was at 6pm, which is wrong, and they said the Borghese museum was closed on Sundays, which is wrong, and failed to mention a prebooking is needed)

We stayed here on the first leg of our honeyemoon. It was a great little spot with a wonderful breakfast and easy access to all of the sights. The best pizza of our trip was at a little cafe two doors away.

I went to Rome for the week - end and I travelled alone . I was a bit apprehensive but I soon got over that because all the attractions were a stones throw from the hotel .

Because Rome never sleeps ,I would come back to the hotel, have a rest ,then in the evening walk around the area of the hotel and saw the Trevi Fountain 2 mins frim the hotel , the Spanish Steps 5 minutes from the hotel and The Pantheon 2 mins from the hotel .They are all spectacular even at night and because of all the people ,I never felt scared or unsafe..

The staff were all so friendly and spoke excellent English..The breakfast was nice with a lovely conservatory and plenty of room even when really busy .I would certainly recommend this hotel especially for an older person as everything is on the door step . ......

I'd never had thought about going to Rome in November but there were no queues to the Vatican and moving around the Cistine Chapel was a joy .

Take an umbrella and warm clothes for the open top bus though .

The location is really unbeatable - in a few minutes you can be at Trevi, The Pantheon, or to the Campidoglio. And if shopping is your thing, head North up The Via Del Corso for the cities most fashionable shopping district.
The staff were unfailingly polite and helpful, from the front desk to the chambermaids - really a huge asset to this hotel.
Our twin room was clean and tidy, and obviously refurbished fairly recently. Minor grumbles? Room was very 'compact' , and there was a certain amount of noise from the restaurants in the Via de Pietra below. But you expect this in a major city centre. The biggest problem for me was the size of the single beds - I'm no Peter Crouch, but my feet still stuck out of the end of the bed, and the mattress was also pretty firm.
All in all, I was very pleased with the hotel and would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

Read some reviews before we went and some complained of decor and service, but we found the place fantastic. It is right in the middle of the old part of Rome surrounded by ancient buildings, the major sites and the labarinth of lanes that are Rome. On one of the major shopping streets, there is a bar 2 doors away if the fact the hotel bar is never open proves a problem for you. There are dozens of good value restaurants within a few minutes walk. The Trevi fountain is 3 mins walk one way, and the Pantheon 3 mins walk the other. The vatican only took us 30 mins to walk. The hotel provides a great buffet breakfast to set you up for the day and the staff really took care of us. The room had a safe and a mini bar, with reasonably priced drinks. I will go back to Rome, and I will look to stay in the Regno.

Stayed five nights at Hotel Regno, Room was clean and tidy. We had a small balcony which was great to get fresh air into the room. Rooms are small, like everywhere in Rome, It was perfect for us.So close to all attractions, the trevi fountain only 200 metres away pantheon just behind hotel a 300 metres away. Roman forum, Collesum, all in easy walking distance. Close to hop on hop off buses. Would highly recommended staying here.

The reception area may be small and pokie but don't let this bother you. Our rooms were very comfortable and roomy. The bathroom was clean and of reasonable size. The breakfast room was very adequate and the food and service was good. Don't be too hung up on the rooms. The location of the hotel is unbeatable. Everything is so close to make you Rome experience all the more memorable.
