We stayed at the Regno for 3 nights in June as part of a 50th birthday celebration weekend, the hotel is perfectly situated for most of the attractions, restaurants, museums etc, there is a tourist information office and good public transport/links close by; the staff are very friendly and helpful, our room was large with a big comfy bed, clean/modern bathroom (albeit a small one) and it was very well sound proofed, air conditioning was good although a bit noisy, nice breakfast too. Overall a very nice hotel which I would strongly recommend/have no hesitation staying in again if we go back to Rome.

Room Tip: If you want a room with a balcony you should request one when booking as there aren't many avail...

we went in a group of 3 couples. They put us all next to each other , which was great ! Fabulous unbeatable location and great recommendation from the front desk for a dinner just round the corner on our arrival. There was a bit of an issue with lack of soundproofing between adjacent bathrooms though !
Let down by the breakfast.....mostly because it was all bread and pastry - very little low carb foods. Eggs were available but at extra cost. Except for this the hotel was perfect for us.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front of the hotel are a little noisy from people enjoying Rome - but hey what ? Great...

Dear Guest,
we would like to thank you for taking the time to write this lovely review. We are sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy our breakfast as much as other clients, we are taking notice of this matter and we have already upgrade the buffet with more fresh fruit and a wide selection of meats and cheese. We hope to see you in another trip to Rome!
Regards
Gabriele

My husband I stayed at the Hotel Regno for three nights late May. The location was wonderful but unfortunately that was all that was wonderful. The hotel is old and weary. The AC was ancient. Steps up and steps down on one floor. The lift had green replaced but only held 2 people comfortably. Our room overlooked the breakfast area that we are sure was once an outside area that had been enclosed, not very well. The bathroom bordered on being dangerous. The bath was approx 1 meter long with one half raised so you could sit on it. I swear it was meant for a nursing home. Having a shower in it was dangerous, to slip would have been so easy. The whole bathroom was as wide as the bath. There was not one power point in the main room and the safe wouldn't allow you to change the code. Breakfast was a huge disappointment. A couple of purchased tarts, cereal, juice, not fresh squeezed, cold meat and cheese and some breads. If you wanted something hot it was additional money. The teapots didn't seem to have lids just a saucer placed on top of them and only one teabag supplied with the pot of water. Some mornings they would give you a jug of milk others not. It was very disappointing We will be returning to Italy but definitely not to this hotel. We will also be advising our travel lady not to send other Australians there. It was approx 350$ Australian per night. Not good value in our opinion.

Dear Mrs. Julie,
we are sorry to hear that we failed on the attempt to make your stay enjoyble. We are also crossed for the fact that all the issues you are mentioning in your review have not been reported during your stay, so if we would have know, we could have solve at least some of the problems.
Expecially the one releted to the breakfast area, normally if you require extra milk or other items our waiters are always happy to give more, it's not a problem at all for us. Also you can change the combination of the safe as many times as you like and in the rooms there are at least 4 power points (and another one in the bathroom). The tarts are freshly made every day by our chef. I think that most of the issues could have been solved in no time just asking at the front desk or one of the staff members. From my modest point of view your expectations for our 3 star Hotel were way higher than the reality and that's probably because you didn't book directly with us but you went through a travel agency. Next time you can book directly on our website and maybe get a better offer.
Best regards
Gabriele.

This little hotel is in the best location. As first time visitors to Rome we couldn't have picked a better spot. It's on the main shopping strip and literally a 5 min walk to trevi fountain. The staff were great. Wifi great. Rooms clean and big enough. We had a balcony too which was fantastic. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at hotel Regno for three nights before our recent cruise. The location was perfect for walking around Rome to see the main sights. We took their airport transport for E55, slightly higher than Rome cabs which we used for all other transfers, but for the extra E5 they gave a room discount that more than made up for the cost. Breakfast was OK. Only problem was elevator didn't work two out of the four mornings we were there. There is a backup elevator to a different connecting wing but it was still a bother since were were on the sixth floor. Plenty of great local restaurants within a three block radius, Trevi Fountain was our go to after dinner walk, lovely. Bathroom and beds were fine. Room darkeners would be nice since the light came through early but it did get us up and moving. Staff was very helpful. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Room Tip: We sent an email that we would be arriving early and needed a quiet room. Both requests were met. Ro...

Good rooms and very central location. Only criticism paid for 4 star buffet breakfast but hot food (eggs, etc) was an extra charge. You would not expect this for a buffet breakfast. Staff we're very friendly and helpful and it is in walking distance of many of Rome's highlights.
