We stayed here for 5 nights in June 2011. The hotel is in a fantastic location, right in the middle of Rome! The hotel was very clean and our room was one of the spacious we had encountered on a trip - there were 3 of us so it was a triple room. The Sofa Bed was very initially very uncomfortable however once the hotel staff were informed they supplied extra blankets to put under the bed which made a significant difference. Considering that a new mattress could not be plucked from the air, they solved the problem the best they could. The breakfast was okay - would have preferred a bigger choice of cereal other then cornflakes, cornflakes and cornflakes and also some of the fruit supplied once opened up could not be eaten. They were only minor negatives about the Hotel.

The hotel staff were great except for the one young gentlemen who had the personality of a brick and was just has as helpful however the rest of the staff were more then happy to answer questions.

Overall I would recommend this hotel as it was very clean and also due to its location.

Location location location!! Situated in the heart of the city this hotel isn't overly big or fancy but is walking distance to all the main attractions and the staff were friendly. It also offers free wifi which no other hotels we've stayed at have. Room was clean and tidy. Perfect stay for those that want value for money and central location.

I traveled with my niece and we met my husband at the hotel. The staff was superb at arranging the best room for us, thank you Garbiele. We were right next door to each other so no securitiy issues and we could get oganized without running from room to room. The staff was excellent at helping to arrange travel to and from the airport, cruise harbor and finding the best tour guide for the Colosseum. Marlena was great and very knowledgeable, I recommend her as tour guide. The location is great with good restaurants close to the hotel as are many interesting sights includng the Vatican. Treve Fountain and the Spanish Steps. The breakfast was good every day with great coffee served with warm milk. The service at the desk, with our rooms and in the breakfast area was top notch, I will definitely stay at this hotel the next time I am in Rome.

Shower flooded, the commode bathroom floor (across from the sink and shower) was soaking wet in the morning and on the last day, the toilet wouldn't flush... major plumbing problems. The continental breakfast was sparse, there was no restaurant in the hotel and you couldn't get coffee at the hotel anytime except during breakfast hours. There as no lobby and the staff was friendly but not very helpful.

The location was amazing and we walked to every major attraction except the Vatican. If I were to go to Rome again, I would look for another hotel with a similar location.

Felt very comfortable there although wish staff could speak English. Difficult to communicate with housekeeping, etc. ie asked for pillows...got shampoo, tv's didn't work
Men at the Front desk staff bit stiff but women were friendlier and again even though there were 2-3 behind desk....only one could speak well. Great about booking tours for us. Fantastic restaurant in alley on right side. Access to wireless email easy but difficult to figure out how to. When you look up networks, you cannot directly access Hotel Regno but have to go through another network first. When suggested that they highlight that when they issue access codes, got the "look". Lobby quite crowded and they also keep the stored luggage out front so no place to sit. Little stuff...great hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for suite with balcony overlooking street

We had a great stay in the Hotel Regno. The location is wonderful - a short stroll to the Trevi Fountain in one direction and the Pantheon in another. You can also walk to the Forum nearby. Plus there are bus stops right outside the hotel and you can easily reach the Vatican, Colosseum, Trestevere and many more locations.
We had a large family room on the first floor which had space for 4 people. It was spacious. Breakfast was fine. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. They also arranged airport pick ups and drop offs (55 euros in cash).
The only negative point was the room was a bit dark and the bathroom needed better ventilation. But overall a pleasant stay.
Also the hotel roof terrace is no more. The access area has been turned into another room.
