Large breakfast buffet that was well supplied and maintained, especially considering the volume. I personally was not fond of their bread, but there were many choices.
The front desk staff was very professional and helpful.
The room was well maintained with all needed amenities.
Wifi was very sporadic and the business computers were not always maintained.
We had a great stay.

Great location convenient to most tourist spots within walking distance.
Staff were very friendly and helpful with any enquiries. Breakfast was good once again staff were very helpful. I was on the 5th floor and the room was very clean with nice comfy bed and large bathroom .I will stay again when I go back.

We chose the Metropole hotel because of it's close proximity to Rome's train station and easy access to its main attractions. We stayed for 5 nights in a newly-renovated room on the 5th floor and walked/took metro to go sightseeing. The reception staff was great (specifically the tall man with shaved head and goatee), the free wifi was slow but the wifi at 12 euros per day was great, breakfast service was great with the choice of espresso/machiato/capuccino being served by waitress and the a la carte dinner was top class. And, of course, the room and bathroom were very clean.

Room Tip: Don't stay on the top floor. Lower floors are more comfortable.

Beautiful and clean hotel, great location, very good restaurant, and breakfast buffet was abundant. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Wifi needs to be refreshed every 24 hours but was free for the entire stay. Very happy with the hotel. Hotel caters mostly to US tourists (not always a plus)

We stayed here for 5 days after our 16 Transatlantic cruise in April 2013. The hotel was convenient to public transportation and within walking distance to many of the Roman ruins and attractions. Room was excellent with a king size bed, sitting area, walk in closet, in room safe, and spa like bathroom. Numerous restaurants were nearby, Breakfast was more than the usual continental type. Free WiFi in the lobby and guest rooms. Concierge service was very good and made arranging restaurant and/or transportation reservations a breeze.
