5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 18, 2013

everything was perfect, we enjoyed the swimming pool area where you can eat snacks by the pool beds , restaurant terrace with barbecue, bar lounge with happy hour.
buffet breakfast was really excellent with lots of variety. shuttle service to and from the city is not free of charge but only 4 euros per person and it runs 5 time a day during the week end.

Room Tip: very largest room with 2 double beds

Just returned from six nights here. First, the good: This is one of very few hotels in Europe with comfortable, American-sized rooms. I was traveling with my husband and 16 year old, and needed two beds. They offer a family room w/ two queen beds and plenty of space. The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean. They have a very nice pool area outside, and with the high temps in Rome, it was refreshing. Now, for the not so good: Location. If you are traveling on business it might be ok. But for a tourist, it is far from the center and takes about 20 minutes by shuttle bus to get to the center of Rome. The NOT FREE shuttle bus drops you off in a location that is inconvenient to use as a daily starting point. NOTHING at this hotel is free. It is so remote there are little to no options for dining except at the hotel. Breakfast buffet is pricey. Drinks are pricey. Room service is pricey. And food is just so-so, limited menu but OK. The staff is cold. Ask a question, and you feel like you have disturbed them from something far more important. In fact, walking into the lobby feels heavy and depressing. I wish people would have smiled more, welcomed us back, etc.

ICE MACHINES! If you have been touring around Europe and love cold drinks you will understand that comment.

The rooms were larger. Clean when we got there, though we never received cleaning service and neither did our friends the other days we were at the property. I was disappointed with the beds. They were quite hard.

The area was quite far from the city center and it did have a shuttle however it stopped running very early in the evening. The pool closed at 8 pm. Since there was nothing around there to do we were a little disappointed with the evening. The property had potential but management didnt make the most of it.

I wont stay there again if I am touring however for a business trip it would be fine.

We stayed for two days while on vacation. We had a very large room, on the last floor. The hotel appears to be in a business park, with good access to the highway. It has ample parking. There is not much in close proximity so you will likely have to drive everywhere, or take the shuttle. The pool was great, just like shown on the hotel website. You have to pay for the WIFI, however connection is very fast. This came as a big surprise, especially as I spend at a lot of in hotels, IHG( platinum level) and others, and I have not paid for WIFI in more than a year. There is a restaurant on the property but we did not go.
Not particularly impressed with the reception, where the staff was cold at best, borderline rude at most interactions.
Bar was great, with two bartenders making great drinks and supporting a great conversation.
Overall I would describe the hotel as - nothing to write home about

We stayed at this hotel with our two kids for 3 nights. Arrived late evening from the airport, the front desk receptionist was tired-looking young girl!! She handed over the room keys and a cold look!! Next morning the breakfast was average quality and we later foung out it was not worth it for the price we paid. Next, we went to the front desk...again very unfriendly attitude and almost no help with the tourist activities. We were handed one tourist booklet and told to wait for the shuttle whci could take us to the city center. The shuttle did arrive on time and was packed with the other hotel guests in a minute. Thw shuttle runs in the morning and the last pick up I guess was around 7:30 or 8:30 PM. The hotel is quite far from the city center so if you wantto stay late in the city center and enjoy the nite life around the collosseaum then you better arrange a taxi or else!!! The final and worst part was no free wi fi!! My kids was highly disappointed because they wanted to upload and see their pics on fb etc. but its was for an additional price. The good things I must mention are clean rooms, really good size area for european standards and very clean bathrooms/shower etc. The sleep quality was good too. Over all, its a business hotel. Do not consider it if you are planning a family vacation. Its not family freindly at all. I would recommend it for singles and for a qick business trip.

Its a nice property with nice surroundings. Staff was also good. Rooms were nice and spacious. The dining area was superb. I loved the breakfast hall as well. The only problem with this hotel is that it is far from the city. It took us almost an hour to reach the Colosseum. Otherwise, it was a good stay.

Dear Ridhika_9,
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us your feedback on your recent stay at the Holiday Inn Rome Eur Parco dei Medici. You are right when you say that we are not located in the city center. Our Hotel is located in a suburban area but you can easily reach downtown with our shuttle bus which stops at "the mouth of truth" (approx near Venice Square). Many of our guests find it very comfortable and convenient. Thank you also for your comments on our delicious breakfast.
Hope to have you again as one of our best guests.

This American-style hotel was by far the worse of our 9 Italian hotels. Most irritating was the constant money-grabbing. It was the only hotel without a free breakfast. It was only one of two hotels that charged us for internet access, which at this hotel crashed periodically. The girl who checked us in was indifferent at best. They seem to be business-traveler oriented, but I don't see why American businesses should over-pay any more than I should. We stayed here because it was close to the airport and we had an early flight out. The shuttle bus to the airport worked well----at 4 euro per person. The hotel is located in a business-park type area with other hotels and no ambiance. The hotel was clean, and the pillows nice, but stay somewhere else.
