Great hotel - helpful staff on reception, good breakfast, we got a really good deal through lastminute which meant our room worked out at £500 for 4 nights for 2 people which I think is a great value for breakfast included. However, although the location is close to the vatican, this is only a 1 day excursion so we found that we were walking a lot going in and out of the main city - in the day for a trip and then back out again at night. Buses not really reliable around the area so be prepared to walk!

If your Rome holiday includes a Vatican tour, this hotel is great. It is not more than 10 minutes walk to the Vatican Museum and stops from all the tourist buses to see the rest of Rome. The hotel is currently undergoing renovation so some of the floors are only halfway renovated; this meant that the elevators weren't running to all the floors and there was some cigarette smoking by the work crews in stairwells, etc. However, the room we were in was renovated and spectacular. Very clean, quite large by European standards, and well appointed. The breakfast in the morning was a bit lacking (no eggs to order), but did offer cappuccinos and espresso to order. The surrounding neighborhood did not have much to offer in the way of dining options after dark, but we managed to find a few gems to eat at. I would stay here again, especially after the renovation is complete

This is a very very nice hotel. It is within walking distance to the Vatican, Castel 'd Angelo, and many other scenic areas. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and the staff were very, very nice.

A breakfast buffet was included which was very good and we had dinner there our first night which was absolutely delicious! The bar in the hotel has a happy hour and the wine selection was quite nice.

The internet was not free and was a little difficult to use when you signed up for a 24 hour package which was only 6 Euro. And there were no work out facilities.

That was the only difficulty and we will definitely stay there when we go back!

Great location to the Vatican but a little far from the center of Rome - fortunately, this provides plenty of opportunity to get in a lot of walking each day. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful, with a couple of stand outs. Breakfasts were very decent with a hard working staff. Housekeeping could use some training. They left the room very clean but did not consistently replace the toiletries or, on one occasion, the toilet paper.
My major complaint concerns the hotel's WIFI and customer computer availability. There is only one computer available for guests for the entire hotel. The provider service is terrible and service is spotty - same holds true for WIFI. In this day and age, when travelers need to be connected, this is unacceptable.
All in all, this is a good, comfortable, clean, few frills hotel. Better computer access and provider service would go a long way.

Very good hotel with only 2 minutes walk before you reach St. Peters Cathedral. The location is optimal for avoiding the long queues for entering the cathedral. We went to the cathedral at opening hours (7am) without no queue at all. After our visit we had plenty of time to go back to the hotel, take a morning shower and enjoy the breakfast of the hotel (which is very good, although not varied). We were also able to walk to all other historical sightseeings in Rome with the Colosseum being the furthest away (about 50 minutes walk), all other sightseeings being within 10-30 minutes walking time. Also easy to get to the hotel from Fiumicino airport by public transport using the FR1 line to Trastavere and FR3 from Trastavere to St. Pietro Station. From there on only a 400 m walk to the hotel at a total cost of 8 Euro per person

This hotel was quite good with one big but. The hotel was clean, the rooms were a nice size, the housekeeping was a little quirky (a couple of times I asked for replacement toiletries and they weren't too great at fulfilling this request), the breakfast was very decent, the staff were friendly and helpful. It is located only two blocks from the Vatican and about 15 minutes from the Ottaviano stop on the Metro; 30 minute walk to Trastevere; 15-20 minutes walk to the Piazza Navonna. The big but is their wifi. The policy is bizarre: one hour free in your room per day; always free in the lobby. I like using it in my room both in the morning and at night so this was impossible. Also, when I could use wifi it was often very slow and sometimes non existent. In short, the hotel was quite good but the wifi was terrible.

Room Tip: Get one on a high floor for some sort of view.
