Description: The Osteria dell'Ingegno at Corso Trieste is a bet of the "fathers" of the Osteria in Piazza di Pietra. Born in a "historic site" for the neighbourhood, where food shops, takeaways and, most recently, pizza restaurants followed one another over time. The inspiration for the cuisine and the cellar is similar to that of our first home, but more focused on local and regional products. In addition to the long-term menu the customer can choose from a daily menu including 8-10 dishes, designed according to the inspiration and availability of the ingredients. Creativity is still the great protagonist of our space, and we have chosen to furnish it in "retro" style to make our place simple but cozy and warm.

I've eaten at this wonderful little restaurant four or five times, mostly for dinner. Today I tried the lunch buffet (e7.50, including water and coffee) and it was fabulous. The selection of dishes was extensive (probably 12-15) and diverse: from lasagne (with and without meat); dishes with combinations of various grains and vegetables; grilled vegetables; some meats. (Vegetarians will be pleased by the selection.) Well worth the price. Dinners are tasty (I've only had the pastas and risotto) and the pizzas are par for the course. Service is spotty as it's a family-owned place and they employ few others, but it's a friendly atmosphere. I particularly like the small, enclosed outdoor seating area. Because the restaurant's off the beaten path for tourists, the place has a nice neighborhood ambiance.

Miss Monica and her husband are a lovely couple of Romans holding the very nice, cheerful and familiy-like osteria la chiacchiera in one of the most beautiful residential neighbourhoods in Rome, 5 minutes away from the famous Coppedè Area. Absolutely don't miss fried potato peels, a popular Roman recipe; I tried wonderful tagliolini al limone and ravioli with spinaches and fresh chees. Cakes and semifreddo also very very good. The selection of wines is not vaste but excellent. Enjoy!
