Lovely place, very friendly and helpful staff who described the food in good English. I had the zucchini and anchovy starter and my wife had the fried vegetables, which were in a crispy and light batter. Primi was long pasta with black truffle for me and parmesan combined with mint for my wife. As is typical and correct the pasta was only lightly dressed with the flavourings. We had this with a red wine from the local Lazio region, it was a good match, inexpensive and well described by our waitress. We had not ordered a secondi, which is not good form in a restaurant, but was a good move as we would not have managed this and the dessert. We went onto the dolce which was a caramel concoction for me and an exquisite tiramisu for my wife. Both were good, but the Tiramisu was stunning. We finished with a coffee (espresso) which was top notch - thick crema and rich chocolate notes with no unwanted bitterness. This was accompanied with local digestifs: a sweet red wine similar to vin santo and a barrique grappa. The bill was very reasonable, the service was efficient, the food perfect and the ambience friendly and sincere. Definitely a great place for high quality dining.
