My second stay (1 adult, 2 teenagers) at Residenza Maritti, previous Sept 2013 (2 adults). Location, Service and Value propositions remain. It's minutes walking to Colossuem, the Roman Forum either greets you every morning as you open the curtains or exit the building. Other tourist hotspots The Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and city shopping are all within comfortable walking distance or public transport. The surrounding cobbled streets of Monti has cute bars, village piazzas, restaurants, shopping, supermarkets. We stayed in the family suite with sufficient space. Website pictures are true to form and the roof top terrace for guest use is superb. Breakfast is ample while each floor has a fully equipped central kitchen for guest use. Residenza Maritti is a family business, well run by brothers Gianluca and Pierfrancesco Maritti. They're helpful in all aspects of making your stay enjoyable and trouble free. We'll be back.

We could not have dreamt of a better place to spend a weekend celebrating our brother’s 60th birthday. A warm welcome from Gianluca & Pierfrancesco and a glass of wine on the panoramic terrace on a beautiful sunny day. The view of the Forum and the atmosphere on the terrace was fantastic. We enjoyed our stay in our apartment with five rooms and bathrooms. Comfortable and decorated with good taste! The breakfast was also very good. Excellent service, offering helpful advice for restaurants and things to do so we could make the most of our stay. Thank you so much. One thing is for sure… we will not wait for another special occasion before we come back. In the meantime, we will recommend Residenza Maritti to our friends!

Fantastic location, terrace with awesome view over Forum Romanum. Very nice staff, who gave great advice! Great to be able to make a cup of tea in the kitchenette! Old fashioned room, but with comfortable beds! Nice breakfast!

My husband and I stayed at Residenza Maritti for five nights in April. It was our first time visiting Rome and we were there for our anniversary. We loved Residenza Maritti. It was perfect for our anniversary getaway, and I strongly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Rome.

The location practically inside the Forum was absolutely amazing--we loved our view of Augustus Forum from our window, especially all lit up at night. It was very convenient to walk everywhere we wanted to go in Rome; we never took a taxi or subway. Gianluca was incredible host, with an abundance of helpful information as soon as we checked in. In addition to giving us lots of tips about hidden gems (views, restaurants, etc.), he helped us secure Vatican tickets when it turned out they were sold out when we arrived in Rome. The use of the kitchen was a nice bonus. And the breakfast was delicious! We didn't want to leave Residenza Maritti, and we would absolutely stay there again if (when?) we return to Rome.

Room tip: We stayed in the Veneziana and loved it.

If you go to Rome, I highly suggest that you don't leave your phone in a taxi upon arriving at your hotel, however, if you do and you stay at Residenza Maritti be rest assured that your hosts will do everything they can to assist you.

After close to 24 hours of traveling due to layovers and weather delays, we finally got to our hotel in Rome where I promptly forgot my phone in the taxi we took from the airport. We did not get a receipt and did not know the name of the company. Needless to say, I was pretty upset with myself as I would now be w/o my phone/camera and would need to replace my phone that I had bought less than a month prior.

Luckily the Gianluca was such a great host that he called all of the taxi companies in the city and was able to track down my phone for me saving me several hundred dollars and lots of headaches trying to find a replacement on vacation. On top of that, he refused to take a reward/tip for the trouble he went through.

In addition to helping me track down the phone, the location and service of the hotel is great and the breakfast provided each morning was very satisfying. I can not recommend the Residenza Maritti enough.
