If you are looking for Sushi in Rome, I'd recommend Shinto. A little on the pricey side, but the menu has something for everyone. They also have a nice wine menu. My fiance had the teriyaki, as he is not a sushi fan and enjoyed it.

We had dinner twice, our girls (5 and 10 years old) loved the food and watching the cook make their yakitori. Very nice place to go.

We were on our honeymoon in Rome and stumbled across this sushi/hibachi bar/lounge that seemed upscale and posh and we were sick of eating Italian food so we decided to get some sushi. We could tell immediately that this was a local spot because not many spoke English. But we were lucky to discover one staff server did speak English and he explained how the whole operation worked. When you walk in, there is a conveyor belt which begins in the kitchen area where the sushi chef is making the rolls and it spins around the entire bar area and then goes back into the kitchen. On the conveyor belt are plates of different delectable "sushi tapas". Anyone can grab the one they desire, the color coated so you know the price of each plate. They also do hibachi where they cook everything right in front of you. The food was really good. The atmosphere & service was perfect too!

This is a "fancy" sushi place in a "fancy" area. Located right next to the posh hotels and the US Embassy. People who go here either want to see and be seen - or have the money not to care. But I do. And 70 Euros for sushi and a few beers for one person is too much to pay for average sushi that goes round and round. Unless you're trying to impress a date - which you'll never accomplish by taking her here - don't bother.

The service was top notch and super friendly. And the decor is nice. If it wasn't for that, I would've rated this place poor.

Like other reviewers, we were getting kind of tired of Italian food and were all excited when we walked by Shinto. We were able to be immediately seated which was great. We took seats at the conveyor belt instead of at a table because we think the conveyor is a fun way to try lots of different types of sushi. All the conveyor sushi was good, very fresh and tasty. We also ordered a couple menu items -- seaweed salad, miso soup, tempura and a couple specialty rolls. All excellent.
