Description: There are a number of posts (in the forum or review of location) that mention this trattoria in Rome, but no actual review of it or a listing of it under restaurants in Rome. We just ate there and thought it was fabulous. We would like an opportunity to review it on TA.

“For authentic italian food...”
Reviewed July 20, 2014 via mobile

We went there twice in 7 days while in Rome. If the ambiance is rather stark, bright lighting, paper tablecloth, the food is really delicious and cheap. The ragù, the carbonara, the cacio e pepe pasta, the polpete, everything was wonderful and very reasonably priced. The staff's English is limited, but we had fun with them and had a great time on both occasion. Beware, though: they take cash only.

“Great Neighborhood Place”
Reviewed July 12, 2014 via mobile

We went here on a recommendation and were pleasantly surprised. It's a hole-in-the-wall place with about 10 tables, but the pasta was homemade and outstanding, and the waiters were fun, even if they didn't know a lot of English. We highly recommend it if you're in the area.

“Cheap and authentic”
Reviewed June 25, 2014 via mobile

Went here because my map of Rome said it was one of the best spaghetti carbonnara's in the city. Were very excited to try it as it seemed this was what everyone was ordering around us. The meal ended up being quite average. I'm excited to find some better pasta while I'm here. I liked the plain and authentic interior, was definitely all about the food. The service wasn't great but I don't expect much from the service here. Be careful as they don't take card!

“Cheap, bad service, flawless authentic Italian food”
Reviewed June 24, 2014 via mobile

He reviews on this place are bang on. As an English speaker expect to get treated like total crap, but I often find that a good sign for food quality and they delivered. Also dirt cheap so the bad service didn't bother me.
