What an amazing place! Built the best part of 2000 years ago, this building is an incredible example of how to build an enduring masterpiece. Just to try and imagine the engineering and logistics required to create this stunning piece of architecture is mind-blowing!
The perfectly symmetrical dome is open to the skies and the beauty of the inside is breathtaking at times.
Again, incredibly busy and although there are signs requesting guests remain quiet, nobody seems to take any notice. At times it was almost impossible to move, let alone grab a precious photo and one wonders whether visitor number should perhaps be a little restricted. Nonetheless, well worth a visit.
