Choose a time when the crowds are at a minimum. Listen to local knowledge and take the advice.Steeped in history but ridiculously crowded.

This beautiful building where the painter Raphael is buried is full of history. A rare statue of St Joseph and Christ can be found here, figures not often found together in art. The dome is of course the highlight

Always beautiful, always a line and crowded, even now in November. Early Sunday morning the Piazza was relatively empty, but the days of hearing a violinist at dusk, with a few people around, may be ended.

The Pantheon needs to be on your list of things not to be missed when visiting Rome - regardless of how much or little time you have. There is so much to learn about this magnificent building from its religious purposes to its architectural wonders that you really should hire a guide or have done lots of studying on your own prior to your visit. While you’ll appreciate it even if you just casually wander through, there is so much you’ll miss unless you have someone pointing things out to you. This is a place to invest in a guided tour without question. There are often long lines to get in, but the line moves quickly and once you’re in, you can move about freely. If you have time, see the Pantheon both during the day and night for two different perspectives. This is a must see sight in Rome...

Must see! Try to get some explanation/guide on this former temple turned church. The unique and after more than 2.000 years still tallest unsupported concrete roof of the world makes you appreciate the genius of the empires engineers.

No visit to Rome is completed without visiting Pantheon. It is literally traveling back into past.Leaves you breathless and speachless.

example of architectural innovation and freedom of thought. The embankment technique used for the construction of the dome was extremely innovative at the time. The Pantheon was the place of worship in which anyone could enter and pray their God or their Gods

The Pantheon was one of the places we wanted to see and was just round the corner from our hotel. We walked there to see it at night also.
