Description: This is a great restaurant/birreria with a really good selection of microbrews and imported beers as well as a really great selection of food to go along with it. This place came highly recommended by the host at our B&B, and she doesn't live anywhere near this place. It's kind of a trek for her to come here, and it's totally worth it.

“Great Craft beer bar”
Reviewed June 27, 2014 via mobile

Not a typical bar in Rome. Local, regional and some international beers. Very tasty and with good "pub" food to go along with it. Expect not the cheapest beers but they are good. If you want to get there later on the evening you might want to make reservations or risk getting stuck in the basement. The beer they serve are also for sale in bottles. To take home. If you want something else than wine or your standard draught beer, this is the place to be.

“Burgers are ok. ”
Reviewed June 26, 2014 via mobile

This is a great place if you're tired of eating pizza and pasta. There's a great selection of beer and the homemade potato chips are addictive.

The burgers are ok. They are very dense and not juicy. Probably a result of the meat being handled too much. We were disappointed.

We arrived around 8 pm and there were only a few tables. When we left at 9:30 there were at least 20 people waiting outside.

“Finally Made It to Open Baladin!”
Reviewed June 22, 2014

A well-deserved trip for craft beer and excellent pub grub after an underground Rome trek! Lots of selection (though many beer list choices tapped out) to try craft Italian beers in fun atmosphere - went here on a Sunday evening in June and no wait time to be seated. Capri burger perfect - great roll! Good service; it out of a certain beer, recommendations from server for alternatives in same style. If you want wine, this is not the place for you, just beer and lots of it! Big fan of Open Baladin Nora brew - warm, orange-amber color is complemented by a tall head which releases notes of Eastern aromas, ginger and citrus fruit - loved having it on tap; only have had in bottle. Check it out for refreshing local and regional beer paired with upscale pub grub! :)

“Potentially the best brewery in Rome”
Reviewed June 17, 2014

After 3 months living in Rome, we finally made it to Open Baladin and were SO pleasantly surprised. Microbrews are really coming to Rome and you will find some seriously delicious beer here. They brew some of their own (I had a porter that was on par) and they also have great local beer on tap and in bottles. We only had appetizers but their food looks delicious and the place is very busy on Friday and Saturday nights! The only caveat with the location is very difficult to find. The entrance is almost down a kind of alley and the entrance is very easy to miss. Our first attempt a few weeks earlier trying to find the place ended up in us giving up. Not for the faint of heart or those easily lost in the Rome curvature. I promise it's worth it if you make it there and although it's not a "tourist" place, all of the servers spoke great English and were incredibly nice and helpful.

“Craft beer in Rome!”
Reviewed June 17, 2014

We stopped by Open Baladin on Katie Parla's food tour and what a great surprise! I wish we could have spent more time here and I wish I wasn't pregnant so I could ahev enjoyed the full experience of the roman craft beer experience. We dined on cacio e pepe coquettes and tasted interesting beers. Will go back on our next trip to Rome.
