“Great host and Location”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

The B & B is well located near Vatican City and local transportation to all parts of Rome although many sites are within walking distance. Rooms are lovely and nicely decorated and well kept.
Breakfast is self-serve from well stocked staples which makes it flexible. our host Mauro was very helpful. When we had trouble reserving bus tickets in Siena he did it for us before we arrived in Italy.
He stops by every evening to greet guests and check on all the guests.
We recommend highly Gregory B & B Vatican

This B&B has a great location for touring the city but not that near to a metro/train stop. the bedroom & bath room were kinda big for what I expected and both rooms were clean, organized & functional. Not to mention that each floor has a kitchenette that is fully-stocked with bread, cookies, coffee, tea, juices & milk. But what sets my experience apart was the care of the owner (Mauro) to it's guests. He showed a genuine concern to make our stay as comfortable & safe as possible. Will definitely stay here once I'm back in Rome.

dear M.
thanks for your positive review.
As you pointed out we are in a great central location.
City of Rome doesn't offer a good metro trasportation service.
We are about 10/15 minutes walk from nearest metro station but
the major points of interest are nor reachable by metro.
It is much better to use buses or when possible to walk
We provide to our guests a paper with all the best bus routes to reach hot spots.
Waiting for your next time in Rome

We were first worried when we lost data roaming and the contact info in Rome. With the map, we managed to reach here by bus 64 (very frequent, about every 10 minutes) from Roma Termini. It was close to 10pm.

Totally touched and surprised to see a man waiting in the rain and called my name. He is Mauro. The B&B is located within walking distance from Vatican. The layout and room design is awesome! Attached bathroom is very clean. Mauro is helpful and organized. He showed us the attactions on map and even taught us to use the Italian coffee maker (moka pot) ! We really love it !

Free wifi is available. Mauro replies to email quickly. Simple breakfast was DIY and dined in room, similar to most B&B in Italy but we were satisfied.

We walked to Vatican in the morning and from there take a bus to other attactions. Very convenient. Sadly, there was a bus strike on our leaving day. So we had to take a taxi despite having Roma Pass.

Access to airport from this B&B is easy. Walk approx 5min to S.Pietro station, take a train to Osteinse direction and stop at Trastevere (5min). You can buy train ticket to Fiumicino airport (approx €7) with train conductor in this train. Cheaper than buying from counter later. Train from Trastevere to airport (duration 30min, every 30min) is not covered by Eurail and Roma Pass.

Perfect B&B in Rome with reasonable price. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: The room with orange colour bed sheet has attached bathroom and perfect for couple stay.

My wife and I stayed 4 nights and enjoyed the convenience of being close to everything including buses and trains since we did not rent a car. Mauro was very organized and provided a super quick response to any needs. We have already referred a friend to stay there this summer.

This B&B is located very close to the Vatican City and yet is still very reasonably priced. The rooms are located on the 5th floor of an apartment building a block from the main road past the Vatican. This gives a nice feeling of staying slightly off the beaten track and in a "normal" neighbourhood of Rome. You might second guess your choice as you turn the corner into the area but its okay, the area seemed very safe with plenty of elderly residents close by. The room we stayed in was fairly spacious for downtown Rome and had a bed, TV and a well equipped washroom. Whilst a "B&B", due to local bylaw, breakfast only actually consists of packaged items such as biscuits and cookies. However, there is a communal fridge and stove-top available to you, as we'll as tea/coffee making facilities. There are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops in the immediate vicinity.

This place was a perfect location close to the Vatican City. My wife and I met her parents there and the owner accommodated our different schedules. There was always breakfast options, and the place was very clean and quiet. We only had three days in Rome, so the owner showed us the sights we need to see.
