“Awesome Location!”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

Loved the location right next to the Vatican. The room was clean and comfortable, with great Wi-Fi which my husband needed to be able to check his emails for work. Mauro and Paola were great, getting us situated and directing us to the various transportation options. All in all, a great value, wonderful location and very helpful hosts. Will stay there again when in Rome.

Mauro & Paola were very hospitable and helpful. I was running late and Mauro even asked me if everything is alright. Picked me up at the bus stop to help me find the B&B. Everything is also prepared, he has a map, and more importantly, a list of buses to take to visit touristy spots.

The location is great and safe. I traveled alone, but got out off Rome in one piece. My room was spotless. I was also taught how to make Italian coffee. Thank you so much again Mauro & Paola!

We have recently finished a stay at this delightful B&B with our children. Our children had Room No.1 which had three beds and a view of the dome of St Peter's Basilica while my husband and I shared No.3 at the back (both had own ensuite). This B&B takes the title of best bed, shower pressure and cleanliness of the whole trip so far. In my book, this counts for a lot.

The location of the B&B was also excellent. Just around the corner to the entrance of the Vatican. A couple of minutes further on and we found ourselves across the river in the heart of the old town. We met friends at the Piazza Navona for dinner on our final night and the children (aged 8, 11 and 12) had no trouble walking the 15 mins or so back to the apartment late at night. We felt very safe at all times and found the apartment to also be very quiet (away from a lot of the all night traffic and partying!)

Mauro, the host, was welcoming and at all times was so keen to help us in any way. He arranged a taxi to meet us at the airport and could not have done more.

Room Tip: Rooms 1 and 2 have the views of the dome of St Peter's Basilica

The BB was quite spacious and very clean. I really liked our room (I think we had the largest of the rooms available in the BB) and the en suite bathroom was quite nice. It was great that the BB was so close to The Vatican (literally pretty much across the street). I recommend that you go to St. Peter's Square and see the Pope when he makes his weekly public blessing on Wednesday mornings. While we could have walked to all the different tourist sites in the center of Rome, we liked taking the bus, as it was very easy and convenient, to reach the city center and then walk around. Mauro, the owner of the BB, was very good about communicating with me about my reservation, from the moment I submitted a request for a room. His timely and detailed communication was very much appreciated. I also appreciated him finding us at the bus stop near the BB, as we would have otherwise been quite lost. The only thing that could be potentially improved is the variety of food offered for breakfast. Nevertheless, I still found the breakfast that was offered to be quite enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this BB to friends and family.

Room Tip: Ask for the room with the en suite bathroom, if it's available! That room even has its own balc...

The location of this B&B is great and the hospitality was excellent - thanks Mauro for the tip about the Gelsomino restaurant - it was wonderful! This place is certainly "good value for the money". The apartment is very clean and well equipped, and the stay is very comfortable though not "spoiling". The coffee in the kitchen is wonderful, however the breakfast could be nicer, even within the limits of "sweet and packed" one could serve better-tasting cookies, yogurts and fruits (even canned). The room was OK but could be made more "luxurious". Altogether it was a very good experience. Thanks again for a lovely stay!

It is the best B&B we stay in our recent Italy trip. The owner, Maruo has been very helpful even before we confirmed the booking with him. He is very patient and friendly. He also guide us to reserve the tickets for Vatican city in order to avoid the queue. Before arrival, he sms us to make sure we get the right direction to reach his B&B. Upon arrival, he gives us clear written instruction as to get to places of interests by public transport and even to the airport. He is also very generous on the breakfast spread. The rooms are also clean, bright and spacious best among the B&B we stay during our Italy trip. The owner takes pride in running his B&B. Thank you very much Maruo.

It may look strange upon arrival since this is not a countryside B&B, but rather a real downtown accomodation, in the shadow of St-Peter's dome. But all is impeccable. We had to leave a suitcase upon arrival before leaving for another destination in Italy and the maid was very helpful + phone contact with Mauro. Upon our final arrival, Gregorio was there at the agreed time, helped us get settled and provided hints on how to get the best of our stay. It helped. Everything is tidy, the refrigerator is useful for the little extras you want to buy (how can you resist fresh apricots?) Transportation is easy from there location, either on foot or through the public transport (bus, but also the regional train one can take from and to Fiumicino) We have already recommended it and will when the opportunity arises again. Thanks Mauro, Paola and Gregorio; till next time!

Room Tip: We have experienced only one room and it had washroom attached. Very pactical.
