Our last evening in Rome we followed Trip Advisor"s advice and went to La Baita (which was only 3 blocks from where we are staying). Again Trip Advisor did not fail us. We arrived very early by Roman standards as we were starving from a full day of walking the sights-our waiter was lovely and very attentive, nothing was too much trouble even to the point of him quickly bringing the ravenous duo bread and then refilling. The Rigatoni Carbonara was perfect, share the Fritto Misto as one between two is more than enough, homemade Tiramisu followed by THE best espresso, grappa and biscotti. Would recommend this delightful below street level restaurant to everyone. The best meal I have had in Rome for the money.
