Make sure you buy a Rome pass to skip the lines! Truly a remarkable beautiful sightseeing experience and a must for Rome! We had a beautiful day and loved the ancient ruins within. Rome is second to none and colosseum lives last your expectations!

Difficult to imagine the feat this constructoin was in the era.
Were happy with self guided tour that did not cost extra. Just walked through and enjoyed the sights inside. Views into coloseum and to nearby sites are great from promenades. Grab your tickets at the Fiori Office (PIT Fori Imperiali). No lines and gets you right in at minimal cost. Recommend the 72 hour Roma Pass.

This Colosseum tour allowed our tour group access to the top level of the Colosseum along with lower levels, the higher levels have been closed for over 40 years and have only been allowed access in the last six months. Imagine being a person during the time of Caesar who was on the lowest level of stature (you worked as a laborer) and you attended a gladiator fight at the Colosseum.Your seats were at the top level of this 100,000 seat stadium. You entered a tunnel which provided you access to climb hundreds of stairs and you had the best view of everything. A challenge but worth every step....

Wonderful place to visit, book tickets online at coop culture. Book in advance to get tour underground, from the website, reservations get to walk through quicker but be careful as our tour timings were changed on arrival. Really worth a visit and tour guide excellent.
