The Colosseum is an absolutely amazing site! It's probably the coolest thing I did in Rome. It's worth taking a guided tour with one of the local companies. Our tour guide was able to explain in captivating detail the events that took place during the pinnacle of Roman rule at the Colosseum. The history here is astounding and will always remain a cherrished memory.

We had such a great experience with Maya Tours during our stay in Rome we used them for our colosseum tour also since we had such a great experience with The Vatican tour. The are easy to book with online or you can just go to one of their offices. You won’t be disappointed

Very interesting, amazing to see the sheer size. Book a guided tour and be there early. Always crowded. Avoid last minute tour sellers around the lines. 1 hour tour should be OK

On a recent tour of the Colosseum, Forum, and Palatine Hill taken through OverRome, we were so lucky to have Valerio as our guide. His affability, knowledge of Roman history and architecture, and enthusiasm for his job made for an extremely interesting and informative tour. Be sure and ask for Valerio!

The location is really beautiful and you can feel the wings of history. But everybody else was there as well, it did ruin quite a lot.

Absolutely worth the money, a 3 hour tour for 50 euro, lots of information on the history of the colosseum & the imperial palace.

Unbelievable.. Extraordinary.. Words cannot describe the grandiose of the place.. How such a building could be built with limited resources of that time makes it a wonder..

I totally recommend visiting the colosseum! It was amazing to see what is still here even though it was build so long ago. I only wish I would have had a guide to explain more things to me. But I'll go back!

Experience was good. We had a private tour guide. Hardest part was trying to understand the ticket options
