Owner description: This 5th-century church features Michelangelo's sculpture of Moses that adorns the incomplete tomb of Pope Julius II.

It may seem unusual, but this was on my "must-see" list in Rome because the statue of Moses with horns by Michelangelo has long been one of my favorites. It is magnificent in person and part of a much larger sculpture (tomb). Bring one euro to light it up. The church is very near the Colosseum.

The statue of Moses was great! Too many other wonderful things to see. Save this trip for rainy day.

Definitely worth a visit - don't be put off by the long climb up the steps from Via Cavour - it's worth it.

History side great but only takes two minutes you walk down a level of stairs to the crypt then another set of stairs and you at the bottom, that's it

Worth a visit if only to see this, it is brilliant. However the other relic worthy of note are the chains which held St Peter in prison in Jerusalem. These are held in a casket below the main altar.
