Albergo del Sole Al Pantheon

This is the oldest hotel in Rome and is right beside the Pantheon, in fact, if you can get a fron facing room you will be able to look out onto the piazza and see the Pantheon. The reception is very small and has a downstairs bar which wasn't opened when we were there. The breakfast is very good - usual breads, cheeses, cold meats as well as cereal - and is served in the central outside courtyard in the center of the hotel. The rooms are all individually designed but are older, this, however fits with the hotels age. The lift is very small. Its quite a quirky hotel with the stairs running all over the place but totally charming for that. The reception staff are very friendly and rooms are very chean. All in all a brilliant old hotel in a brilliant position!

Room Tip: Go for a front facing

Recommended by a friend who stayed here- i was blown away by the hotel website information and first and foremost the views from the hotel rooms overlooking rotonda and the pantheon....absolutely amazing ...views to take your breath away.
I booked a deluxe double room with pantheon view- when you book make sure the room states 'pantheon view'.
I also emailed the hotel several times due to date changes and confirmations and they were great- really helpful and got back to me quickly.
The rooms are beautifull, staff helpful and breakfast there is fab, 7am-10am from what i remember - lots of variety.
I would only stay in this hotel in rome and cant wait to go back

Room Tip: pantheon view

My family and I stayed in the penthouse, the room is divided in two floors. The balcony has the most beautiful view in all of Rome! You have a spectacular view over the Pantheon, my favourite building in the world.

The hotel dosen't have a restaurant for breakfast, but you can eat breakfast for free at one of the tavernas on the Piazza della Rotonda.

I would live here again if I could have the same room!

Room Tip: The penthouse with the great view!

We spent three nights here prior to leaving on a cruise. Nice hotel, great location and a friendly and helpful staff.

The room was clean, the linens were good (my wife said so) and the breakfast was more than adequate. We'll be back.

This was our fourth stay at the Albergo del Sole Al Pantheon, and it was the first time we were upgraded to a suite. The suite was located in a separate annex on the other side of the Piazza from the hotel itself, and we could not have asked for a better room. First, it had straight-on views of the Pantheon itself, which is magnificent. It also had its own terrace, which had a slight view of the Pantheon but also many beautiful rooftops and church domes. We felt like we were living La Dolce Vita in our own Roman apartment. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The location can't be beat, as it is very centrally located and easily walkable to everything Rome has to offer. We look forward to a fifth stay there soon.

Just back from a 2 night stay at the Hotel Sole al Pantheon, we booked a suite in their annex building, which was spacious enough for our family of 4. We had 2 bedrooms and a beautiful marble bathroom, but the best thing was the view of the Pantheon from both our bedroon windows. It was such a treat to sit at the window and watch the world go by in the Piazza della Rotonda. The main hotel is just across the square, the staff were helpful and very welcoming and the breakfast was varied. The hotel is situated right in the middle of Rome and we walked to all the sites. I would definetly reccomend this hotel and look forward to staying here again in the near future.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the Pantheon
