As the remains of Hadrian are no longer there it was a bit empty but it is interesting to see and know the Pope uses it as an escape route lol. Great views

As a tourist, walking through Rome is definitely the way to experience the culture and the heritage. We went on this city break with a list of attractions we wanted to see and I have to say this wasn't one of them. But I'm so glad I found it.

After walking around the Vatican for hours and then at the Basilica, we were very lucky to get in here as it shut at six. But, its definitely worth the squeeze in not only do you get to snake your way around the castle and the keep, over looking the views in between crenelations but you can also see little gems in the very small museum they have there.

And right right right at the top there is a courtyard which gives you a great view of the Vatican and you can make out the Colosseum etc. It was absolutely beautiful to get photos with the sunset on the horizon.

Amazing place, the view is breathtaking. It is definitely must - see in Rome . And don't expect to find a lot of conspiracy here . There is only beauty .

Fans of Angels & Demons will be disappointed as you don't see the overlapping walls, cells, etc but everyone else will be satisfied. It has a simple interior and takes an hour-ish to visit (once you get inside avoiding the numerous looky-looky men), but the ?10.50 entry fee is worth it for the great views of the River Tiber and Vatican City.

My review for this monument can be concluded in three words : Great Panoramic View. The location of the castel is in front of the river and in the border of the Vatican city. You MUST see the view from the top. Is one of the 3 best places to see Rome from above - the other two are the Cupola of St.Peter and the Vittorio Emmanuelle Monument at the end of via del Corso.
