All I can say is location, location, location!! The hotel is on the Piazza della Rotonda looking out on the Pantheon - amazing!!!! So glad that we splurged a bit and stayed at this great hotel. Try get a room facing the Piazza - you can watch and hear the wonderful buskers and all the people passing by. The atmosphere just buzzes with happy holidayers. Late at night it is lovely and still and the wooden shutters block out any light or noise.
Our room was freshly renovated and had a separate little sitting area which was very handy. Breakfast is included and they have a lovely, bright breakfast room with both hot and cold food options - something for everyone!
Hotel staff were super helpful in providing directions and recommendations. They were also happy to store our baggage after we checked out while we did some extra sight seeing. We would definitely come here again!!

Visited Rome end of May and stayed at this wonderful Hotel. Found it by reading reviews here on TripAdvisor and, trust me, you will not be dissapointed. We used the del Senato as our home base and was able to travel to Tuscany and Florence and return back in one day. As everyone mentions, the location is superb!! Mauro and everyone at the Front Desk was so friendly, helpful and respectful. They made our home-away-from-home so pleasant to return to. Rooms in the front are a bit noisy as you are literally at the Pantheon along with all the tourists. Breakfasts are just the right amount to get your day started and rooftop bar is a great way to end the day. Have never been to Rome before and was extremely comfortable and non-stressed at this Hotel. In the event you require a taxi from any location in Rome, they always know where the Pantheon is, so no issues getting back there. Would definitely stay here again if I am ever lucky enough to return to Roma!

Room Tip: Rooms in the Front a bit noisy

This is an ideal location for walking to Piazza Navone, Campo di Fiore, etc. The staff was very accommodating and the rooms were spacious and elegant.
The roof top bar is a great plus! Michaela was a wonderful and friendly host. They also have a lovely outdoor seating area for viewing the nightly scene.
I would highly recommend this hotel for families and couples.

We stayed here for one night prior to our East Med cruise. We selected this hotel, because of the excellent reviews on here. We were not disappointed. (Well except for only being able to stay one night) The room and bathroom were both spacious compared to other European city hotel rooms. Well presented and very clean. The reception staff were lovely and some other hotels I have stayed in might wish to send their staff to Del Senarto to observe exactly what makes excellent customer service. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was a typical continental breakfast. Nothing to shout home about, but not poor either. The hotel is in a great location for sight seeing and we would definitely stay there again. The only minus for me (a pigeonaphobe) was the roof top bar that got invaded by pigeons. I felt like Tippi Hendren in Hitchcock's The Birds. The view of The Pantheon from there is amazing though. It could do with being netted in somehow to stop those pesky pigeons. All in all it lived up to the reviews.

Room Tip: We asked for a quiet room and although it opened on to a tiny backyard it meant we didn't have t...

My family and I stayed here in two rooms in June 2013. We stayed in rooms 107 and 207 with the Pantheon view. The location is perfect for anyone visiting Rome and the rooms were very spacious. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast also had a great selection for everyone from picky children to adults. The only down sides were that the mattress was quite firm and it was rather noisy outside until around midnight. But if you're as exhausted as we were, it doesn't matter much since you crash right to sleep. I would definitely recommend it.

We recently stayed here in June 2013 for 3 nights & had a wonderful time... We chose this hotel based on reviews from this site & were not disappointed in the slightest... What a great find...
From the reception staff to welcome you, help organize transfers to airport, recommend somewhere to eat etc... they were brilliant... Cleaning staff always very cheerful & helpful & the catering staff (at breakfast) excellent they even remember how you take you hot beverages at breakfast...
Bed comfy & we finally found pillows that we liked....yeah...
Bathrooms spotless...
Room for 2 large suitcases even though the room was a little small (but we are in Italy though).
Tea & coffee making facilities & a safe in your room.
Wooden shutters on windows to keep the room in darkness for sleeping...
Double glazed windows helps keep out the noise of the city hum if you don't like it but personally we did...
View from our 4th floor window to the Pantheon...what a magnificent view it was.. & over the Piazza Della Rotunda with the singers, musicians, cafes & people taking it all in... wonderful...
A roof top terrace area for drinks in the pm to just sit & soak in the city & to take in the sunset.. wonderful
Comfortable walking distance to major attractions...
When we come back to Rome this will be a must for us...

I completely agree with the other positive reviews that this hotel has received. Two things set it apart from the others in Rome. First is the location, which for me is the most important thing about a hotel. The Piazza della Rotunda is a bit like Piazza Navonna used to be--a wonderful place to just sit and hang out and watch people. The Pantheon isn't a short walk away: it's your front yard. The neighborhood is full of nice shops, cafes, and restaurants. The second factor is the wonderful, wonderful staff, who do everything they can to be helpful. No short tempers, no dismissive attitudes--just kind attention. You are invariably greeted when entering and leaving the hotel. The rooms are serviced multiple times during the day, so if you take a mid-afternoon shower (it gets hot in Rome and these can feel really good!), you will have fresh towels by evening, and if you take a nap your bed will be remade. Everything feels personal--none of the cold impersonality that larger hotels can have. The rooms are comfortable and nicely appointed. The showers are excellent! Given these factors, I consider this hotel to be well-priced, and I would never stay anywhere else in Rome.

Room Tip: Rooms with a view of the Pantheon get sun and are a bit noisy, but the view! Rooms without the view...
