“When in Rome - the only place to stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

Have been to Rome several times and this is the first time we have stayed at this impressive hotel. No wonder it gets lots of "ticks", the people, the service and the views are magnificent. The only downside is the average brekky and breakfast room, but hey, you can't have it all for such a decent price right in the middle of Rome!! We were there for two nights and were given room 403, a delightful room overlooking the Pantheon and Piazza della Rotonda. I kept waking up during the night just to look out the huge window and take the odd photo or two in the evening glow. The bathroom was huge compared to many in Rome and it had a big window with the same view and it also had a bath!
The terrace on the roof was the ideal spot to sip a vino, while watching the sunset in the even over fabulous Rome.
Thanks to the friendly and most helpful staff, we will return. We were also impressed with the arrangements they make for you to be picked up and dropped off at Fiumicano airport with the minimum of fuss. Thanks heaps. You get out number one vote.

Afterall hours of research I made the plunge and booked a room for my husbands 50th birthday yes it was a bit pricey but wow it did nt disappoint . We had a view at the front of the hotel and the view quite simply catchs your breath it was awe inspiring and very very special . It made our holiday having a romantic drink in the evening listening to the opera singers down in the square and gazing at the majestic Pantheon. Location was fab best coffee in Rome literally around the corner as well. Tho you have to do you research for decent restaurants as they all offer believe it or not offer bland mediocre frozen pizzas!!! Its Rome !!! Scandalous but true!!! Also always always always check the price of coffees before you purchase I am a very shrewd traveller but I was scammed in Rome the waitress gave us the menus and immediately said drinks I quickly scanned the menu and seen the food prices were ok so when she proffered coffees and said small or medium we said medium and the coffees were 12 euro each and the pizza was only 10 euro scammed or what but hey thats Rome!! This hotel on the other hand will not disappoint its very magical .

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the Pantheon

Nothing is too much trouble for this hotel and their staff, great location in the Pantheon square, easy walking to Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. Many great restaurants in the area, makes sure you get the recommendation from the staff at reception.

Wonderful experience all round would highly recommend this hotel

This is a more than an excellent hotel. The Site of course is the key, but staff at desk would facilitate any stay in Rome. The rooms are small as one would expect, pay more for one overlooking the Pantheon, and enjoy returning through the crowds to a quiet oasis. Breakfast is excellent, the terrace bar is an experience of Rome few see. We will return.

Room Tip: Pick a room overlooking Pantheon

Maury and the front desk team made our stay perfecto...or was it the Roof Top Bar where we started each night's festivities? Or was the the view of an piazza out or window facing the Pantheon? So many great features and amenities. One of the best high end hotels we've stayed at in the U.S. and Europe. Great fun.

Room Tip: Ask for a view facing the piazza.

It was a treat just to look out the window. We were there in the heat if the summer, but the a/c was great. The central location was ideal as we only had 2 full days in Rome. The hotel was charming and it was nice to be able to have cocktails on the roof so we could gather with our group. Breakfast was simple, but all we needed at that point to get the day going.

Room Tip: We opted for a suite that included a terrace as opposed to 2 rooms. This was a good bet and less ex...

Just back from 4 nights in Rome and this hotel did not disappoint. All the staff were so friendly - especially the reception. It was my wife's birthday there and the hotel must have discovered this when they looked at her passport. Imagine her surprise when, on her birthday, they sent a bottle of Prosecco to the room with the hotel's compliments. They also commended good places to eat and always remembered us when we returned each evening.
The hotel is in a lively square withe the Pantheon on its doorstep - how great is that?? All the great tourist hotspots are within walking distance - the Colliseum, Vatican and the Forum. Some walks may be more than 30 minutes but, hey, relax, have a beer, glass or coffee on the way!
The hotel only does breakfasts which are the normal buffet sort, and which are ok. It also has an excellent rooftop terrace bar from which you can see St Paul's Basillica (only opens on warm evenings).
The rooms are comfortable but if you have a room at the back prepare to face a brick wall. However, considering its only your sleeping base, this shouldn't be a problem. The rooms were comfortable, quiet, well air-conditioned. The bathroom was good too though I would have appreciated non-slip mats for the showers.
We'll definitely return.
