Owner description: Pope Innocenzo X commissioned Gianlorenzo Bernini in 1651 to create this monumental fountain, which would adorn the piazza in front of the family palace.

Although we went late at night, this piazza was very busy with lots of people around the fountain.

Luckily we choose to eat in a resturant overlooking the fountain so had a nice view. It wasn't as busy as the Trevi fountain and has a lot of history behind it (Dan Brown seems to be a fan!) It was a pleasant enough fountain, but there are many in Rome.

For me it was a nice attraction to look at while we were eating, but I wouldn't have made a special journey to see it - although it's a beautiful work of art.

Someone should have put this fountain in a movie and made it famous. It's much cooler than the Trevi and in a far more pleasant setting.

Came here because I saw this fountain in the movie Angels and Demons and was curious to have a look. It may not be as big as the Trevi Fountain but it's also worth seeing in my opinion. The Piazza is beautiful and the prices for the
Cafe's around are ok.

This fountain is awesome: palm tress and a snake are hidden within the four towering figures. The best time to visit is in the morning, so the sunlight is correct to capture the best pictures; the afternoon light is not optimal. Then you can go at night and get a completely different view of the 360 degree fountain. Prime place for pictures that other's will recognize.
