“One of Rome's Most Beautiful Fountains”
Reviewed November 21, 2012

The "Four Rivers Fountain" is second only to Rome's Trevi Fountain in its importance and beauty. it's especially spectacular at night. Sitting in the center of Piazza Navona, the fountain dominates the area. At night it is surrounded by visual artists and performance artists as well as guys hawking the latest toy. Grab a table at one of the (pricey) cafes/restaurants that surround the piazza, or take in the atmosphere while you enjoy gelato.

“Along Fontana di Trevi, the most beautiful fountain in Rome, and there are not a few of them”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

The Fountains of the Four Rivers was sculpted by the famous Bernini and is located in Piazza Navona. Each character represents a famous river from the continents knew back then (Nile, Danube, Ganges and Rio de la Plata). The place is filled with tourists, locals and street vendors.

“Go at night”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

Visit the fountain at night when it's lit up. Take it in with ice-cream and buskers, the atmosphere is fab. Tis how it should be seen. Plus it makes for lovely photos...

“Bigger than you think”
Reviewed November 6, 2012 via mobile

The Fountain is huge and a lot more spectacular than I had previously imagined. Very crowded when we got there, but well worth a visit (as it's free!).
