I wouldn't go out of my way for this, especially since it's all in development and there's very little to see at the moment. The information about the history of it is very interesting though, hopefully once it's developed more it will be nicer to visit.

This is much bigger than I imagined you can see from the grass verge on the one side how high it was and the amount of people it would hold. It must have been a sight to see chariots racing round. Not much left of it to just the open space but looking at some books you can imagine how it used to be.

It's unfortunate there's not more left of this grand arena. You can see the scale of the place and walk in the path of the old chariot "racetrack". But, as many reviewers have noted, it's mostly an empty field with some ruins reclamation at one end. You have to use a little imagination and remember Ben Hur to visualize the arena and a hundred thousand people in seats around the track. Also, the wealthy watched from their porticos on the hill overlooking Circus Maximus. It's still worth checking off your must-see list, in my opinion, if for nothing else than its reputation.

There is really nothing to see here. It is essentially an oval shaped field and nothing else. I have to write 100 words to submit this review, so hopefully this sentence does it.

All you can see from the street now is a big area with grass. But just to imagine what this once was and the seating and chariot races they once had. If you didn't know what this was, you'd think it is a retention basin.
