Having been turned away from the Villa Borghese ( not being aware of the need to prebook a visit) My partner and I paid a very worthwhile visit to Palazzo Massino and we were so pleased we did. Very near the Termini Station this section of the Museo Nationale is splendid in it's fine collection of antiquities. From marble busts of the noble families of ancient Rome to huge superbly presented mosaics. From the basement to the second floor It is wonderfully interactive and presented ..an added plus.. it is visitor friendly with seating giving one time to pause, view and reflect. So many museo's in Italy lack any seating arrangements which discourages one to linger too long. Do take the time to make this very special place one of your stops whilst in the Eternal City.
