we visited the collection during january and were thrilled with all the paintings here. The annuciation in the first room ( Bellini I think) was gorgeous. What really impressed us however were the paintings by Caravaggio, and his Narcissus was worth the entrance fee ! The use of light here and the evocative nature of the camvas as a whole made me want to stay all day.
The palazzo itself is worth a mention - the bees which were the coat of arms of the Barberini family were carved all around, and the rooms and ceilings mean that the visit is a sumptuous experience for the eye.
