I stayed in the Villa Paganini for a month, away from friends and family. This could have been a daunting experience, but the warmth of Antonella and her family and the quality of accommodations made it seem like my home away from home. The building is fantastic, the neighborhood is amazing, and everything you want to do or see in Rome is a walk or short bus ride away. For those of you who are runners, the Villa Torlonia (Mussolini's old digs) is very close and a wonderful place to run. If I had my way I'd move in with Antonella and her family for a few weeks every year.

My stay in Villa Paganini has been wonderful. It's situated in a very beautiful residential area close to Villa Borguese. The arquitecture and decoration of this roman villa is very nice, and also has a little garden. The breakfast is very generous, and you receive a very warm treatment from the personal of the hotel, very familiar, very close ....

Villa Paganini is in the North of Rome, just outside the free tourist maps, which really is a plus if you're looking for a relaxed stay with no fuss, no tourist traps, nobody that wants to sell you anything. Here you can stroll between the southern palazzo's enjoy the gardens filled with lemon trees, fig trees, orange trees, flowers... Oh! The lovely smell!

Villa Pagani is situated in the neighbourhood of Trieste, in between Sapienza and Luis (the two Roman universities) and Quartiere Coppede (with lots of Jugendstll villas and a fairytale fountain with turtles jumping of). Close to Villa Paganini are at least two parcs where you can enjoy Roman life as the Romans do.

We often had dinner at Bruto, a nice, informal restaurant just around the corner. They serve a variety of dishes from simple pizzas to stuffed pulpo, Roman sausages and pasta of course.

There are a lot of busses going to Termini, Piazza Venezia en Flaminio. So although you are not in the center of town, you can easily reach everything. Even after midnight. We took a 7 day-pass (16 euro) which allowed us to take any bus, metro and train within Rome.

Villa Paganini is owned by a friendly family of lawyers. They have two grown up sons who study law too. They all live upstairs. The b&b is situated at the first level. Ground level is occupied by the family's grandmother and the man who serves breakfast and cleans the rooms.

The rooms are comfortable, clean and quite spacious. There's free wifi and a flatscreen tv. The kitchen has a fridge and a gas stove that you can use to prepare a simple meal. The fruit bowl was always filled and free to take... To come short: nothing but good remarks about Villa Paganini.

We had a really nice stay here. Surely we'll be back!

We were very pleased to stay here for a week in February, and we hope to come back again at other times of the year. Our room was comfortable for two adults and one teenager. The bed was firm and excellent, and the breakfast service perfect. The staff are well-informed for restaurant, site-seeing and transport recommendations, and generous with their time. Modern facilities, quiet upscale neighborhood. Villa Paganini is about 20 minutes or so by foot/bus from central tourist sites.

The villa Paganini B&B was an amazing place. I stayed there for a month, from mid November till mid December. The rooms and the service are great and the garden is excellent. The neighborhood is quiet and residential with beautiful buildings.

The greatest thing about this place is that you just felt privileged to live in this beautiful building and next to Antonella's family, an experience that is not easily felt during traveling. There are no words for Antonella and her family. They were super warm, friendly and caring. Like having a real family next to you, ready to help for any kind of problem that may occur during your stay. And in case I am misunderstood, they were very discreet and the rooms were isolated from the top floors where Antonella lives, so there is more privacy than in any kind of hotel or B&B. One day I was sick and they went out of their way in order to take care of me.

Antonella and her family are not people that just made a B&B to make some money. They live in a beautiful elegant house, with three floors and they just have some spare rooms in the ground floor, fully equipped, that they enjoy to rent to people just because they like to have people around. I wouldn't say the same for other B&B's and I really think that this place is a small gem hidden in an beautiful neighborhood. I recommend it without any hesitation.
