Great location, handy for Vatican and transport links.Lovely terrace with fantastic views. Rooms need modernising and definately not 4star! A teatowel to dry hair? No tea or coffee facilities in room, not even a pen,!
Cleaning staff very friendly but one member of reception staff less than helpful but most were friendly.

We stayed at the Atlante Star hotel as part of a travel group, although we arrived a day earlier on our own. Location was great. Only a 5 minute walk to Vatican City. I liked the fact we stayed in a quiet part of Rome with only a 20 minute walk to the popular destinations of the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, etc.

The hotel has a rooftop terrace and a covered patio that offer great views of Rome including St. Peter's Basilica.

The room was clean and adequate. We had a small balcony. Although it faced the back of the hotel, it was still nice to have the option to sit outside on our private balcony after a day of sightseeing.

Breakfast was good. Lots of food items to choose from. Just ask the waiter or waitress for a cappuccino if you do not want the coffee. Breakfast room was very bright and sunny. Nice place to start the day.

The only warning I would give is not to leave valuables unattended anywhere. This is a general warning and not just directed towards this hotel. My partner and I left valuables in the safe with the concierge without any problems - so this is okay. However, one of our travel mates from our travel group lost all of his expensive camera gear. He left it unattended for a few moments in the hotel lobby and when he returned it was gone. I'd suggest keeping an eye on valuables anywhere you travel in Rome. Even if you are staying in a nice hotel, don't get lulled into a false sense of security and get careless with your valuables.

My Wife and I just spent four days in the Atlante Star. The location is excellent, being in a quite part of Rome while at the same time being sited between St Peter's and Castel Sant'Angelo.

We had a junior Suite which was very nice. The room had a small balcony, spa and sitting room. The staff were friendly.

You need to book to get a seat at the restaurant.

There are plenty of other good restaurants near by.

The internet in the room did not work but is available for free from the lounge down stairs, admittedly a little slow.

Room Tip: If you can afford the the suite spend the extra.

The view from the roof bar where you can go for cocktails or the restaurant where you are served complimentary breakfast is superb... But, for such an expensive hotel, the rooms are extra small and the bathroom very uncomfortable: i could hardly fit in the tub, and the shower hard to maneuver without getting the whole bathroom wet. Again, for the price we paid, not being able to access the internet from our room was another drawback. Free WiFi is just from the lobby or the restaurant and bar.
Going back to the view, you can stay elsewhere and go there for cocktails or dinner. The restaurant is called "Les Etoiles" and the view of St. Peter's at sunset is indeed breathtaking.

My Wife and I spent two weeks in the hotel with a few days in the middle traveling. The room we were first in was too small, even for europe standards (think small cruise cabin). We could also not connect to the internet from that room. After several days of complaining with no real solution to the internet problem, we asked to be moved to a new room closer to the Wi-Fi. We went out for the day and when we returned, we were surprised to be moved into a much larger room with a great conection. The rest of our stay was wonderful. The breakfast is outstanding, the roof top bar is awesome! Incredible views and bar service was very good. The airport shuttle is free arriving and 40 euro returning which was a great value. Two minutes from the Vatican. Close to everything. We would return. Great stay!

Room Tip: Ask not to be put into the ultra small rooms.

Perfect hotel! Perfect rooms and views!!
Staff are very helpful and polite!!
The rooms are small but they offer everything you need when you benefit from the views!!

If I visit Rome again I will book here as its perfect and the complimentary transfer is a fantastic way to capture the market!

If the hotel wanted to maximise the views the could have day loungers for those guests wanting to really soak up the atmosphere views and sun!

Thank you

Room Tip: Ask for a higher room in the hotel to make use of the views!!!

The location is the outstanding feature of this hotel, 5 mins walk from the Vatican, the main shopping street, the river, and the good but pricey restraints on Borgob Pio. There is a cheap mini market opposite the hotel. The hotel itself was basic but clean, and the staff were pleasant. If the breakfast is not included in the room rate, don't pay 12 euros for it. It's a very basic buffet and 12 euros is a rip off. You'll get a much better value breakfast on the main shopping street, via cola di rienzo, just a few minutes walk away.
