We have visited Rome a few times already, so now in a wheelchair it was easiest to visit a site nearest to hotel. Poor husband had to push me around. There is a place to hire buggies, but not near the gate we entered by. Once you are disabled you have to have no expectations it seems to me. Same for helper. We saw everything I think - including black squirrels. Lovely peaceful place - lots of Segway users having a few tumbles. There is a bus going round but couldn't see a space to fit a wheelchair in. Well tended with no litter. Saw reproduction Globe theatre for Shakespeare productions. So sorry to miss the Giacometti Exhibition
Rome is a very green city. The pines are superb.

Green in the center of Rome. Adore it. I would like to spend all my sundays there. the ducks and turtles and the lake just makes it wonderful.

Crowds are attending the Museo Borghese, which needs to be prebooked 24 hours in advance.
I saw three other people who were there for the the Giaacometti exhibition which is juxtaposed with the permanent collection. The Giacometti works play off well in this setting and I personally found the experience satisfying and worthwhile .

Highly recommend getting a timed ticket. Arrive 20 minutes ahead of the time entrance for an docent tour. Excellent value for a well informed explanation.

We visited Villa Borghese Park and enjoyed not only the urban park but also the views of Rome from here. Its a nice respite from the crowds of the streets of Rome.
