Owner description: Certainly the most famous and photographed fountain in Rome, legend has it that whoever throws a coin into the pond will return to Rome.

Although it was raining and crowded, the light provided some great pics. The details of the fountain were amazing. The only thing keeping me from saying excellent were the heavy crowds, even at the end of October.

Well you can hardly expect to go to the world famous trevi fountain as in Three Coins in a Fountain without finding lots of other people can you? I was agreeably surprised at the condition of the fountain itself which i remember as being rather grubby. we were there mid morning in November and it was crowded but we were able to get down the steps to the edge of the fountain with a littel patience and our young grandson duly threw some coins over his shoulder and had his picture taken. i call that a success.

Yep, there are crowds of people clamoring for a spot to throw their coins.
yep there are the obligatory photographers who, despite everyone having a camera or smartphone was offering photos!!.
You just have to do it though. Actually a pretty beautiful fountain. We were hooked!
