We went to dinner at taverna dei monti and then decided to have a walk down and we came towards crowds who were looking at this amazing work of art you have to be here to really appreciate this monument

“Lots of people”
Reviewed July 4, 2012

Maybe my expectations were too high. Yes, it's a pretty fountain and Piazza but in relation to what else is in Rome I just didnt see why everyone thinks it's such a big deal. Tons of people, so much so that you have to elbow your way to the edge of the fountain for a picture. If you have time constraints I would suggest skipping this one.

“Lovely Fountain”
Reviewed July 4, 2012

This is a very popular fountain. the crowd at the fountain was huge. It was a very hot day and many tourists were there. The fountain is absolutely beautiful and certainly worth the visit. I am still so amazed with the artistic skills of the craftsmen of this time. Breathtaking!

“Fountain 5-0 Tourists.”
Reviewed July 4, 2012

Believe me, if it's the Trevi itself that we're reviewing it is every bit as beautiful and spectacular as you will have been led to believe. But seeing it is the problem. The day we were there it was less like a fountain and more like a Ganges pilgrimage. Sadly we gave up after barely five minutes. If it's high on your list of must-sees then get there as early in the day as you can.

“A classic not to be missed”
Reviewed July 4, 2012

Visit at night when its less crowded and maybe you'll get a picture without 100's of tourists in front of you! Smaller than I remember.
