We went to the Giovanni as we had arrived late from the airport and the restaurant was just opposite the Hotel Morgana where we stayed. The proprietor is a jovial chap who speaks really good English and was very welcoming.
The prices are very reasonable, we had pasta first time we went and I had Sea Bass the second time (yes, we went twice in 3 days). The house wine is also very good at €8 a bottle (yes...a bottle).
Service was quick and the food was nicely cooked. A rather limited choice of sweets though, first night there was only fresh fruit salad or ice cream. The second time they had mimosa cake and tiramisu, my favourite.
I'm sure there are better places to eat, but the place was comfortable, friendly and not too expensive, so ticked our boxes.
