“Amazing Cookery Class - Andreas is the BEST!”
Reviewed August 18, 2010

This is a must do experience in Rome. It makes a change from seeing the normal sights and getting involved in real Italian cooking with local ingredients which are delicious. The Chef 'Andreas' is amazing, enthusiastic, informative, helpful and funny. We made Figs stuffed with Goats cheese and walnuts, followed by Fresh Ravioli stuffed with Pumpkin, Zucchini Parmeggio for Main and a classic Tiramisu for dessert. We will never forget the amazing experience and we will make the recipes we learnt at home. A great day in Rome, met lovely people, and learned a new skill! Book now for a great time!

“Unique experience in Rome”
Reviewed August 5, 2010

We were looking for an activity to do in Rome in addition to the normal sightseeing, and this definitely fit the bill. The 3 hour class was a good mixture of information, hands-on experience, and eating. The chef, Andrea, is the main reason why the class is so great - he is a really engaging and humorous speaker and knows how to put the audience at ease. He provided a lot of interesting facts about cooking and ingredients in general, and I walked away with a greater appreciation of Italian cuisine overall. There were lots of little details which made the experience better than average - for example, he emails the recipes and instructions so you don't have to take notes, and the personalized dessert plates were a nice finishing touch. And last but not least, the 4-course meal we helped prepare was fantastic.

“Excellent cooking class”
Reviewed July 18, 2010

While vacationing in Rome our family participated in an excellent cooking class with chef Andrea Consoli at his restaurant Le Fate. Andrea proved to be a very experienced teacher who was able to get everyone in the class involved in food preparation at their particular comfort level. During the class we learned how to prepare an entire Italian dinner, including an appetizer, meat dish, pasta from scratch, and tiramisu. It proved to us that Italians create some of the world's best food by passionately combining a few quality ingredients, varying recipes with the season. Because Andrea was such an amiable and patient instructor the class really enjoyed interacting with him and were similarly at ease with each other. In short, the cooking class was a surprisingly relaxed, uplifting and enlightening experience.

“The cooking class at Le Fate in Rome was magnifico!!!”
Reviewed July 7, 2010

When the time came to go to Le Fate for the cooking class, I tried to decline. Our travel companion that had booked the class told me at the last minute that we would be spending 4 to 5 hours there. There was no way I could be in a cooking class for that long. Thank goodness it was too late for me to gracefully bow out. The experience was the highlight of our two week Italian trip. Chef Andrea was informative, funny, engaging, passionate and unlike many chefs he was completely unpretentious. With Andrea's guidance we made fresh pasta with sauce, a fried rice and tomato appetizer, beef saltimbocca and a chocolate "salami" desert. We then ate our creations accompanied by local Italian wines selected by Andrea. Our class, which consisted of Americans from New Orleans, West Texas and our group from Florida got along well. The time flew by and when we finished the delicious meal we didn't want it to end. I enthusiastically recommend it to anyone who loves people and good food. It was a great time and very reasonably priced in comparison to some of the Italian cooking classes I have heard about.
