We came across this restaurant on a web search, looking for places to eat near our hotel. We walked in and immediately had a good feeling. We ordered Paccheri (pasta) with fava, guanciale (like bacon) goat ricotta. And it was the best pasta dish I ever had, this includes living in Italy for a year and travels to many wonderful gastronomic capitals. We then had layers of steak which were cooked perfectly and had incredible taste. My husband had a steak dish as well that was equally delicious. We were so happy and the owner and her partner were lovely hosts.
The next night we decided to be open minded since we were only in Rome for 2 nights. So we dined at a highly recommended restaurant down the street. It was average to say the least. So we each decided to get only one course and within half an hour, we snuck back to Guiliana 59 and got the same pasta dish again! It was equally delicious. What an amazing experience!!!
We insisted the chef come out and he was great. He was there only a few days and training the staff and coming up with the menu, which was a great selection in our opinion. Overall we would recommend this restaurant because the atmosphere is relaxed yet stylish, and the food is definitely made with love!! Grazie Mille!!
