After taking the train into Rome from Venice and being confused with the Rome train system we decided to take the Metro to our hotel (Courtyard Central Park). By the time we arrived it was late and there really isn't much available in the way of restaurants in this area. We decided to talk a walk and we stumbled into this place. It was perfect, the food was outstanding (and hot), the bread was fresh and the owner will shake your hand and thank you for visiting as you leave. In regards to price, the meal for 3 was about 30euro which is very reasonable considering that it included beers and soda. If you're staying at the Courtyard you must try this place, it's only a short block away. When you go to the train, as you walk of the hill, instead of turning right, turn left and cross the street, it's about 50 yards to the right. This is the real deal, it's where the locals eat. You won't find any tourist in this place. Enjoy!

This was the type of place I envisioned when I planned my trip to Europe five months ago. The food was incredible. The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. Best European meal I have had since I arrived in Europe from the U.S. weeks ago. Visiting this place was a highlight of my trip!

on the basis of other reviews for this restaurant, we tried it out while we were staying at the Courtyard Central Park, and went back for more. In total, we ate there 3 times and would have gone again but had to leave town. There is a different special each night and the locals seem to fill the place regularly. Very friendly waiters who know their food. The beer and wine are exceptionally inexpensive, and the food is reasonably priced. After a meal or two at the hotel, this was a pleasant find.

a family run italian eatery that is a wonderful option for marriott guests. all focus is on the food and the service. not a "fancy" dining experience, but one that is not to be missed if staying at the neighboring marriott. it's a family run business where even the young son takes pride in participating in the service. after dining here the first night of our 4 night stay, we gladly went back for our final night dinner in rome. though i don't usually like to "repeat" dining experiences, it was an experience we WANTED to have twice. you will, too.

We stayed at the Marriott Courtyard Central park for 5 nights. After eating at the hotel we decided we needed to explore the neighborhood some, and came across this place. What a great find. It was packed all three nights we ate there with locals and I think only one night were there other tourists there. The food was very good in taste and preparation with home made pasta and two "specials" of the night, one pasta and one second plate. We had something different every night and did not have a bad meal. The local wine was good and very expensive (6 Euros for a liter).
The staff was attentive and I thought went out of their way to make sure our food was good. Every once in a while they would come by with something we did not order but wanted us to try it.
It as a fun place to eat, and we enjoyed it as evidenced by us going there for three of the nights we were in the area.
If staying at the Marriott and looking for some good home cooked food at very reasonable prices then take the three block walk to this place.
