We were in Rome for 6 days in November and booked 3 tours with Walks of Italy. They were all terrific. We selected Walks of Italy because of their small group sizes, and we were lucky to have smaller than the maximum capacity in each of our tours!

Our first tour was the Twilight City Stroll with Linnea. It was a great introduction to the city and a lovely way to see the city as the sun was setting. It was really handy for us as we were staying near the Spanish Steps (where the tour departs), and it gave us the opportunity to get our bearings at the beginning of our trip (our first day, in fact). Linnea was so full of energy - her enthusiasm made for a lively tour, especially as we began to fade from jet-lag! We found out at the end of the tour that it was her first offical tour with Walks of Italy - great hire!

Our second tour was the Pristine Sistene with Rosa. She was so knowledgeable and passionate about the information she shared with us. She made sure that we got into the Chapel before any one else - we had at least 20 minutes in the Chapel to ourselves! An amazing and humbling expereince. She's a gem!

The VIP Colosseum tour was our last. Again, we had a very knowledgeable guide in Jowita. She had a great personality and provided loads of information. The tour included Palestine Hill and Forum but the highlight was the Colosseum. On this tour, we were taken to 2 areas that have just been opened to select tour companies - the underground dungeons and the very top tier. These 2 areas really helped us get a sense of the size and scale of the structure and what it must have been like to be a participant and a spectator! An incredible opportuntiy!

We will use Walks of Italy again!

I cannot say enough about the service. I had accidentally booked overlapping tours so they were able to move our evening walk at the last minute up one night. The next day we did the food tour with Simona and she was an amazing guide. She knew we had another tour immediately following so she got us to a taxi and explained exactly where we needed to go. At the taxi stand we were met by a tour manager who led us to where our group was meeting. The Colosseum tour with Vicenzo was outstanding. He gave us tourists a fantastic sense of the history and majesty of what was once Imperial Rome and brought dead ruins to life!

We had a fantastic VIP tour of the Colloseum with Mike earlier this yea and were lucky enough to be the only two members of the group. His passion and knowledge was clearly evident, and never at any time did it feel like we were just the next in line to be talked at! Other tours had about 30 people who were straining to hear the tour guide at the front of the line, but thankfully our experience was the opposite. We would be happy to recommend this company to anyone

We have taken several tours in Rome in the past, and this was by far the best. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining, and he had our rapt attention for the entire tour. I cannot recommend Walks of Italy enough, and we will absolutely be booking all of our future tours through Walks of Italy.

We took the VIP Colossium tour. It was well worth the cost. There were 9 of us in the group so it made asking questions easy. Our guide was very knowlegable and had a great sense of humor which made the trip more interesting. I would not hesitate using this agency again in the future for other tours in Italy. We toured all levels of the Colossium, the forum, the senate and Palantine Hill. Total tour took about 4 hours, but was a fantastic tour. No elevators or handicap facilities. Lots of walking with little rest.
