I stayed there for 2 days in Jan 2011 and I had a great time. It was a little hotel/apartment near Vatican and you can walk to Vatican basically in 2 mins. For some people it may seem a bit remote from the town centre, but I found it very convenient as I could walk to the metro around 10-15 mins and could travel around the city easily. Definitely recommended!

I never had any doubt about Vatican View. And I was proved right. Its stone’s throw vicinity to the Basilica S. Pietro – makes it simply a dream come true for anybody who wants to start exploring Rome from Vatican and/or finish the day by crossing the romantic Ponte Sant’Angelo. Considering it’s so close to the treasures of the Musei Vaticani it’s a treasure itself. The hotel is indeed small but warm and comfy. A very nice bathroom.

Myself and my partner stayed here on our New Years break in Rome 2010/2011 and I have to say we were very impressed overall.
LOCATION:
Difficult to find at first as it is not a standalone building and no big sign; just a large door on the street and a plague- clearly the hotel used to be apartments. For a young couple like ourselves, it was a perfect base to see the sites of Rome. If your primary interest is Renaissance art and sculpture, the Vatican museum is very close by. St. Peter's Basilica is a stones throw away also. The others sites of Rome, however, are across the Tiber and require a Metro (10 mins walk to nearest station) or a 20 to 30 min walk across the city- something to keep in mind for elderly, families and disabled. You could argue that you're going to want to see the Vatican anyway and on that morning, you only have to roll out of bed and you're there.

HOTEL & ROOM
The first thing that strikes you is the facade of the hotel. It's just a door with the "Relais Vatican View" engraved on a plague. There is a buzzer with which to identify yourself when you arrive first. It becomes clear very quickly that the hotel has recently been renovated from apartments as you make your up narrow staircases, into a tiny lift and up to reception. The greeting at reception was friendly and we arrived late. The rooms are fantastically modern and impressively clean. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels on business and never have I come across a room as clean & modern. Bed sheets changed every day no matter what time we left. Bathroom was small but again to the highest standard of cleanliness.

PRICE
Probably the best part for us. We booked six months in advance and got 4 nights for just over 200 euro. Incredible when you think one of those nights was NYE.

OTHER BONUSES
Free Wifi- an absolute godsend. Got a lovely card left in our room on NYE wishing us a Happy New Year- a great touch!

Pros- Impeccably clean and modern, great value, very comfortable
Cons- Narrow apartment complex-like staircase, halls & lift. Location may be a problem if you like to be closer to the action. No breakfast but plenty of cafes around the corner.

Overall very impressed and would definitely recommend to young couples.

Pros: Location - 100m from Vatican, renovated rooms, very helpful and pleasant personnel
Cons: No proper breakfast, non-soundproof walls (we could clearly hear what our next-door neighbors were talking about - very unhelpful early in the morning), typical small rooms, overpriced given existing quality

Thank you for your comment. We are regret because your stay was not perfect.
Vatican View is a little Hotel where, unfortunately, there isn't the space for the breakfast's room. Any how, we tried to feel happy our guests with a little free service where there are coffee, cappuccino, tea, croissants, biscuits, juice, jam and our staff with their advises.
We invite you to stay again in our hotel where it will be a pleasure make all our best to become unforgettable your holiday!
Kind Regards,

I couldn’t believe our luck in getting into such a well positioned hotel – we could actually see the Vatican from our room. Although it was small – it was quaint, modern and very comfortable. We’ve stayed at quite a few hotels and I have to say the standard was superb – spotlessly clean with crisp white sheets and fluffy white towels. The hotel does not offer breakfast but there’s a vast amount of places to choose from to eat in the locality There are coffee/tea facilities in the rooms, however Fabio (the manager) encouraged us to come up to the reception each morning if we wanted to try his cappuccino. He was pleasant, chatty and full of friendly advice – this probably being the advantage of staying at a small hotel. I wouldn’t hesitate in staying there again. - WELL RECOMMENDED.

Me and my wife we went to Rome finally!!!! We 've been planning this trip for years and it went perfect obviously thanks also to Vatican view !!! As the title says this place is priceless the bedrooms are clean and comfortable and the location is one of the best location in Rome. The hotel is right in the center of Rome just outside the Vatican City walls and at a walking distance from everything. Spanish Steps Piazza Venezia San Pietro Castel Sant' Angelo bars and clubs are just a few steps from the hotel.
The receptionist guy was an angel we didn't know much about the area and he helped us with everything from concerts to shopping he was really amazing... Daniel Grazie ;)

I sincerely recommend the Vatican View Hotel***** :)

See you soon !!!!!!
