“Excellent service in a great location”

Like many other people who have stayed at the Armony Suites me and my wife had read the reviews on Trip Advisor which helped us make our mind up. All I can say is that we were not disappointed and it lived up to everything we expected.

The apartments themselves are nice and what you'd expect for a city break. I'm not going to spend time talking about the room itself because you shouldn't be spending anymore time in it than you need to. Get out and explore! I'd rather talk about the host Luca.

Luca was such a great host, he was so helpful and everything that he recommended to us was brilliant. We wanted to find the local gems, not just the tourist traps and Luca pointed us exactly to what we wanted. The best example being Ai Villini, a local restaurant that we had actually laughed at earlier in the day because it was a shabby looking and had nobody there. A few hours later we were in there based on Luca's recommendation eating the best food that we tasted in Rome (have the carbonara, it's out of this world).

Another great tip that Luca gave us was down download Rick Steve's audio guides for our phone rather than pay for them (they were great, make sure you do this). The reason I highlight this tip is to demonstrate what an amazing host Luca was, we couldn't find any headphones to buy locally, so Luca rand down to his scooter and let us borrow his.

We were checking out quite early on a Sunday and Luca wasn't there, we were a little disappointed not to be able to say our thanks. As we turned the corner to the bus stop we saw Luca there waving to us, he'd got up early to come and see us off.

As Luca puts it himself, you aren't guests, you are his friends. Whilst in Rome Luca will be the best friend you could wish for.

Room Tip: It doesn't matter, you're not in Rome to enjoy the room.

I tried to book a stay at Rome Armony Suites, but unfortunately Luca told me he was booked. He told me about an apartment building he also rented in a nice neighborhood, Trastevere, as another option. We had read the reviews about how wonderful Luca was, and decided to go for it and stay here. The place was wonderful!!!! Felt like you were living like a Roman. The apartment is in the cutest neighborhood, very quiet and safe. Plenty of close places to eat and have a glass of wine. Staying here was the best part of our vacation. Luca and his son Andrea were wonderful. They helped book tours for us to avoid the long lines, recommended places to eat, and just made our whole trip more enjoyable. He even helped arrange tranportation for us from the airport to the apartment. The apartment was clean, large, and very comfortable. There was also free wifi at the apartment, which was a plus. We were able to walk to all the major sites from the apartment. I would definately stay here again and recommend this apartment to my friends and family as a wonderful option instead of a hotel.

This is our 2nd visit to Rome & our 2nd staying with Luca - for us there is nowhere else to stay. We cannot recommend this B&B highly enough. Nothing is too much trouble for Luca or Andrea. They go out of their way to accommodate any requests you may have.
We wanted to take a trip to Anzio to the landing beaches, beachhead museum & Commonwealth graves. Luca phoned the museum to arrange for the beachhead part to be open on our arrival as it is not normally open. Train times were also sorted. Luca also spoke to the curator of the Anzio museum who spoke very little English to arrange a taxi to take us to the Commonwealth cemetery.
We noticed again on this stay as last time the warm & friendly welcome he extended to all his guests helping them settle in and orientate themselves in this beautiful city giving them hints & tips to fully enjoy and appreciate the wonder that is Rome
We both agreed that both of us have never been so sad to be coming home. This stay has been the best vacation we have ever had & in no small part this is down to Luca making us feel so welcome. A better ambassador for Rome (& Italy) will be difficult to find.
This B&B is the only place to stay when in Rome, right in the heart of the city 10-15mins walk from the Vatican situated in a quiet side street. All the main sights of Rome are within walking distance or a short ride on the metro but Luca will put you right on the best way to get where you want to go to
The rooms are immaculate, modern and kept spotlessly clean & the shower is to die for. The rooms are lovely and quiet - the perfect place for a good night's sleep. These rooms are some of the most comfortable we have stayed in anywhere in the world. Look no further for your accommodation when visiting Rome
The shuttle bus (SIT) stops just around the corner from Luca's (6euros per person one way)
If there were more people like Luca & Andrea the world would be a much better place

My wife and I stayed here in Sept on our trip through Italy. It was a great start to the vacation. Luca was on top of every e-mail and communication we sent. We arranged car service with Luca to pick us up at the airport. After long trip from US, all you want is an easy trip to your room. The driver was standing in baggage claim and we were in the lovely Mercedes in 2 min. The location is in a nice area of Rome very close to the Vatican and St. Peters. We got in at 10 am and Luca gave us the lowdown on some quick food and how to deal with Vatican and St. Peters visit. A short 10-15 min walk and you are into the historical past of Rome. We found the location to be very convenient. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The room was very nice, clean, and modern and with nice working AC, it's all you need for base operations so to speak. Luca is great in giving you the tips to seeing Rome and is happy to highlight the local map based on where you are looking to go. We walked and walked while in Rome. Lots of people in Rome at all the main historical sites. Do a little homework on how and when to go and relax. Diners are later in Italy with resturants empty until 730 or 8 pm. 1st night in town, we were still on US schedule and dined at 6 pm...all by ourselves for the entire diner. Service in Italy is also, shall we say, leisurely, expect a good 1-2 hour experience. Luca was also a star in helping us get out of Rome with our rental car on the way to Siena. We followed him to the outskirts on his motorbike and away we went. Yeah, they drive in Rome a little more fluid you might say...lanes, what lanes...first one to gain the edge, gets the road.....good times.

Our family group spent 2 nights at the Armory Suites while visiting Rome. It is easy to see how passionate Lucca is about his lovely B&B and for making his guests feel comfortable. He met us at the main entrance and greeted us with warmth and lots of humor! The B&B is actually on the 3rd floor of a lovely old building just a few blocks from the Vatican.
There is a small elevator available. The rooms are modern, impeccably clean and well appointed. Lucca is full of information and suggestions - directing us to various sights, bankomats and metro stations, and even suggesting itineraries based on the direction we were heading. He also gave us great advice on where to eat, and even arranged reservations for us.
The B&B is on a fairly busy street with lots of businesses, so getting a parking space nearby is not too easy during business hours, but later in the evening or early morning you can easily get a spot right in front of the entrance. And the area is quiet and safe at night. The restaurants Lucca suggested were all within a block or two and it was lovely to walk around at night.
It is a convenient location and a lovely place to stay!

Room Tip: I enjoyed looking out on the main street. I am not sure what the views were like on the other side.

If you want to live like a local in the most convenient location, then book your Rome accommodation at Armony Suites.
We had the best time!
Lucca made us feel very welcome.
He has a warm and pleasant manner and makes you feel as though you are staying with a friend rather than at a hotel.
Lucca gave us great advice on what to see and where to eat and he was 100% correct.

You really won't want to leave Armony Suites.

Room Tip: We had a room overlooking the street and it was quite quiet so I don't think there is any advant...

Sept. 3-5:
Me and my niece were on a 10 day Italy tour to Rome and the Amalfi coast so we decided that we were gonna add a few days to our trip to see Florence and Venice . The location was great, easy to get around and perfectly safe. Our room was always nice and clean, exception of no electricity the first day of arrival. Well the electricity was on the fritz but I know that it was the building and Lucca was terribly sorry about it and very apologetic, but we managed to do everything in the semi-darkness, oh well things happen.
But it was still a great trip and our apartment was very comfortable. And we would definitely stay there again. Only if Lucca is still there...:)

Room Tip: Lucca is the best concierge you can find, genuinely kind and caring to visitors of his town.
