Luca was so helpful to our party of 6, starting by sending a car (same cost as taxi) for us at airport, helpful sightseeing & restaurant tips, booking tours, even giving us coins to toss in the fountain. He was also so gracious in coming back late at night when we couldn't get into rooms (our fault for being on the wrong floor). Rooms are clean, compact, and modern with high ceilings - Luca has good taste. Also was able to walk to most places around town or easily catch trains/subways. Nice fruit stand on way to breakfast at Brown & Co., which also have friendly staff.

Both Luca and Andrea (his son) were a total delight to deal with, friendly, efficient and always having plenty of time to chat and provide information. The B&B is in a beautiful location, away from the heavily touristed areas of Rome, yet well located for restaurants, supermarket and indeed all facilities. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the WIFI works!! We stayed 3 nights and each day Luca gave us a recommendation for dinner - where to eat and what the house specialty was. We always took those recommendations and were always delighted with what we ate. Breakfast at Brown & Co is excellent, they accommodated our preference for something savoury so don't be afraid to ask. It is fun to sit and watch a bustling patisserie at that time of the day. We can't recommend Luca's B&B highly enough, no wonder it is Number 1. Well deserved.

We finshed our honneymoon by staying for one night at Rome Armony suites after a cruise finishing in Rome.

Luca is a great host and gave good reccomendations of where to eat, what times to see things and how to get to places. Perfect for a couple still in cruise mode! He was also really helpful and would let you print boarding passes for flights and timetables of when to get to the airport etc, without any extra charge.

The rooms were very clean and there was no noise in the evening.

The B&B is in a very good location , close to the vatican. (We were able to walk everywhere) Also really really easy to get the airport bus (cheaper and quicker than the train, and you don't have to haul luggage through the metro). So a great location if you only have 24 hours in Rome like we did.

The only thing is, it was a bit tricky to find and the buzzer didn't have a clear label, but we were able to find it with the help of a couple just leaving. That would be my only thing for Luca to change.

Also the breakfast is in a cafe round the corner, but many in Rome are like this, (the Italians don't really do breakfast like the British do) and the quality of food in Browns was beautiful.

Its a great place to stay if you want a nice room to come back to at the end of a busy sightseeing day. Much better value than a hotel.

Not much I can add to all previous comments. It's all true. Luca is a very passionate man who will show you the way to all nice places, restaurants and bars. Rome couldn't wish for a better host. The B&B is clean, quiet and very well located. Breakfast at Brown & Co is just perfect with the freshest of pastries and coffee.
Just do it and book it!

My husband and I stayed here in July 2012. It was easy to get to from the airport on a shuttle bus. Luca gave us excellent directions. The room was lovely. It is a great location. We could walk everywhere easily. I would say that the best part was Luca. Never have we met anyone so welcoming and accommodating. He helped us with everything from restaurants to travel plans for other parts of Italy. He was just great. It was our first time in Rome so that was really a bonus! Would go back for sure!

Room Tip: This is not a hotel with a pool or room service. We stayed in two different rooms, both were nice and clean and well appointed.
