We must admit we also had minor difficulties finding the place. So if you want to stay here; take note it's towards the end of Via Ratazzi if you're walking from Termini, you have to look for the small building number she gives you, then find Belhorizon on the list of buzzers next to the big double doors.
But we had a great stay! Sandra, the owner, was extremely helpful. As soon as we got there she got out a map of Rome and told us all the best places to see, eat and shop. She told us exactly how to get there (walking, metro, buses etc) and she also told us how to get to a great place just outside Rome which we didn't know much about, where a lot of the grand roman villas are. She booked us into her favourite restaurant which was also brilliant. All her recommendations were great.
It's in a good location- 10/15 minute walk from the Colosseum and 2 minute walk from Termini (the central bus/train station) .
The rooms seemed perfectly nice, someone commented on the TV being too high but you don't come to Rome to watch TV!
The breakfast was great. An amazing selection of pastries, fresh juice and coffee, toast, bread, fruit. Would recommend.
No private bathrooms but the shared bathroom (only shared between 2 rooms) was very very clean.
