Delicious pizza with a varied selection of toppings - aubergine, courgette and potato amongst many. The tastiest pizza we tried during our stay in Rome and very reasonably priced. There were many locals purchasing pizza from here - always a good indication of quality. Perfect for a takeaway lunch during a visit to the piazza del popolo just across the road from here. Very much recommended!

We were visiting Basilica San Celemente and someone recommended this to us for lunch. We were so glad we went as it was the best tasting pizza we had enjoyed whilst there and one of the best I have ever tasted.

The lady serving didn't speak any English however communication wasn't a problem at all with a range of pizzas to choose from you just point and she measures till you say stop. There is hardly any seating (around 3 inside and 6 outside) however this shouldn't put you off as there are benches by the Church.

One thing - If you're on a diet don't go :-) We left a single piece as we were full and a person (who I can only assume was the chef) came out as we were leaving looking really concerned and checked with us (through sign language) that there wasn't something wrong.

All in all a must visit if you get the urge for take away pizza!

After eating this pizza you won't be able to go back to the take away/home delivery stuff you get from the franchised pizza chains. In fact you won't even be able to call that stuff pizza anymore! Be sure to try the potato pizza, and a warning: This pizza is VERY addictive. Yes, it is a little pricey, but when travelling overseas, a constant concern is quality of food, am I right? And this pizza is "il qualitia". Buy a couple of pizzas take-away, a bottle of red wine for the red-meat pizza, or white for the rest, and picnic in the park next to the Coloseum (I can't remember the name, the one with the fenced-off area with the Roman ruins anyway). The perfect evening.

An excellent spot for traditional Roman pizza "al taglio" (which means "by the cut") This is wonderful way to go as you pay by the weight and allows you to try a piece of this and a piece of that as your appetite permits. No English is spoken, but the staff is super friendly and hand gestures are all you need to sample their spectrum of great ingredients atop perfectly chewy/crispy crusts. Packed with locals and the best pizza we had in the city.
